  1. I can assure you the words he very carefully used were intended to make me feel bad, wrong or guilty whichever word you care to use by me asking to remove them.
  2. I am grumbling and I certainly will not pay it. For the first time I will remove my tips and give in cash those that I think deserve it and at an amount I am happy with. Which at the end of the day is what tips should be all about even if Cunard cloudy the waters to confuse people by calling it Hotel and Dining service charge. They do this intentionally to make people feel guilty into paying it whilst boosting Cunard profits. Sorry but should do as partner cruise line P&O have done successfully in including gratuities in the cruise fare.
  3. It isnt what it is I certainly wouldn't pay over £400 tips on any land based holiday anywhere on the world. Why should cruiser's be made guilty to pay it because of the poor renumeration of Cunard staff while Cunard as a company keeps on making massive profits.
  4. I can see even more people queuing at reception to remove tips. Sorry but $450 for a couple of a 14 nt cruise is way over the top.
  5. That may happen because not everyone will have OBC but remains to be seen if you still get the discounts especially 20%.
  6. So they might start letting you use your OBC but you won't get Peninsular Club discount or 20% discount for booking early. Personally if that is the case I would prefer to stay with current system where I get 20% early booking discount and 10% Peninsular Club discount for the speciality restaurants we book. Obviously not P&O being nice to customers more than no discounts so more money for them because end of day OBC is not free as they like you to think you pay for it in cruise fare
  7. In the past we have changed cruise and also moved staterooms to other one on same cruise and have never incurred an admin fee by my TA or P&O.
  8. Anyone ever stayed at Chilworth Manor and used their cruise and park option. Have stayed at hotel before so no issues just wondered where the car is left and did transfers work OK.
  9. Yes but would be a silly thing to do if taken ill or have an accident or taken ill abroad or onboard.
  10. If I haven't got parking in luding in cruise fare I always book with Parking4Cruises. For my 25 my cruise in October CPs want over £240 and P4C which do virtually the same but you drop car off in short stay car park are £130.
  11. There were chess sets and other games in cupboards by book shelf in Anderson's in September on Arvia don't know if still there.
  12. Worrying thing is Sun Princess have cancelled maiden cruise due to delayed delivery from Fincantieri. Hope this doesn't have an impact on QA.
  13. So why Steven Gerrard especially has he doesn't live in UK at the moment and what has the connection of Liverpool to do with QA. I am sure Cunard could do far better than any overrated and overpaid footballer.
  14. Sture Myrmell left Carnival Corporation and was replaced by Paul Ludlow in and was announced in May 2023.
  15. I did say that I have downloaded the App.
  16. Even though downloaded the Stockperks App in advance of paying my balance for cruise in April did not have to use it. My TA automatically contacted P&O and they added OBC without contacting Stockperks.
  17. President of Carnival UK is Paul Ludlow.
  18. So as already been said the terminals are not fit for purpose for the ships they serve. That says a lot about P&O incompetent senior managers who have the large ships.
  19. We have done 3-4 cruises on QV/QE in November/December in recent years and had lovely UK summer weather in Madeira and Canaries and had plenty of opportunity to sit on our balconies into the early evening in the sun.
  20. I have never said it gives anyone the right to arrive earlier than there stated time. Just think it is poor practice to send old, disabled or people in wheelchairs away or make them stand in a queue in all weathers when there is a purpose built terminal with hundreds of empty chairs.. Surely common sense would allow people with stated difficulties to sit inside until their nominated times on their boarding passes. .
  21. That is what Princess want you to think but having used Medallion many times and think the reality is totally different.
  22. Very true we were once in a bar on Princess that was holding a private party for Elite members of the Captains Circle Club. The waiter came over to a couple at the next table and told them what was happening and asked them politely to leave. He came to us and said no problem Mr ******* I know you are Elite members. We had never seen the waiter before so he got all my details from the Medallion in my pocket. Big Brother is certainly watching especially on a Princess cruise and it is not to my liking.
  23. Yes much better to arrive on time and "breeze" through as no doubt you arrive by car and have that option. But like all my posts not everyone is fortunate to be able to arrive and "breeze" through check-in. They have lot more issues if using public transport and have no control of arrival time and don't think P&O are considerate for those in that situation.
