  1. I'm hoping too as I enjoyed the Classic side of the menu as a safe bet. Also, wish that they would bring back the veg and Kids menus. Sometimes I ordered form the Kids menu.🤣
  2. Was listening to a webinar hosted by Andrea Shea (AVP of Loyalty) and Laura Hodges Bethge (President). Of special interest was that they discovered that the present menus lack variety and diversity. Therefore, the plan is to bring back the Classic entrees and apps with own section (4:15 mark). Also, they will modify and add varieties to the main portion of the menu. This will take effect sometime in late November.
  3. They haven't got the moneys yet. The add of grats is to the invoice and paid in the future when due. No major impact as I would go with the daily auto grats anyway. For instance, I have an 11 niter on Explorer sailing in January '25 and called my TA to add the grats to the invoice. Payment is not due until approximately 90 days from sail. Ps. Also protected against any future increases.🤣
  4. Did the same. Prepaid on 5 already booked. Only 2 are in the final payment stage.
  5. I personally believe that the 3% is much higher. Human nature.
  6. To each his own. I don't get too uptight as grats is a small fraction of the total cost of cruising. IMO, some that are so adamant and verbal about this will probably not tip at all.
  7. I agree. I usually have to run to the specialty restaurant as soon as I board.
  8. First of all, my comment was not directed at you. Don't get defensive. Anyway, I see no difference between as to the total compensation for the groups--comprised of minimal salary and complemented by gratuities.
  9. Do you take the same attitude at restaurants.😆 You should not tip at restaurants and ask them to include in the prices.
  10. Many aren't even aware of the envelopes or as they used to be called WOW envelopes for rewarding excellent performance. Only time that I get an envelope presented to me is the cabin steward leaving the envelope on my bed a day/night prior. I basically have to go to GS for any add'l envelopes.
  11. Not you, but it does to me. As D+ with 340+ points it benefits in hundreds of $s. Just a sample of benefits: solo discount, balcony discount, 2 days of free internet, the 5 drinks allowance, the visit to the CL/DL, special seating at events, a couple of bottles of wine and many more benefits. Not sure what your level if accrued benefits does not interest you, then that is your loss.
  12. Marital problems. Why would the new spouse/partner even go on a cruise if treated differently. No inducement to cruise.
  13. Opposite extreme, Celebrity does not issue loyalty numbers/accounts to any individual under 18. Also, I believe those individuals do not earn any points. Ps. I personally believe that there should be an option to de-link members due to divorce or some other event.
  14. Mostly EZ passes. There are lanes that you can pay in cash, but one needs a wad of cash.😁
  15. December 3, '23 Harmony entertainment are available for reservations.
  16. Royal charges exorbitant $ for the Casitas and they are not even close to the pool.😆
  17. We should know as we live in a test tube environment in the great Garden State. From real estate taxes, the almost annual toll increases, and the other nickel and dime crap are a source of constant heartburn.🤣
  18. The end will be if Royal introduces those pesky daily resorts fees.🤣
  19. The gist of my post is that when Paxs remove their gratuities, in essence the rest of the Paxs that maintain their automatic grats are subsidizing the grats pool.
  20. I'm surprised that the 18% has not increased. On land, at least in my area, some restaurants the minimum that appears on the tab is 20% and on top of that some restaurants add a % for the usage of the CC.
