  1. Not sure which points you are referring. Tier points do not convert. You accumulate them during the physical period and reset to 0 each year. These tier points, assume you are at least prime, earn you a free cruise and other benefits. Then there are credits that you earn while you cruise and those you can convert at the slot into cash to play. As other have said must be used by the last night of the cruise otherwise they expire. Ps. Did not want to get into specifics, but you also earn, based on play, instant rewards cruise certificate towards a booked cruise. These certificates are good for 30 days. This applies to gold tier and up.
  2. I'm assuming you mean this weekend, unless you are confident that Cowboys (vs 49rs) and Bills (vs Cincy) beat their opponents this Sunday.😆 If you know something that I don't know, please let me in on the secret as I'd like to put a few shekels on the games Football games are usually shown in the Theatre and Aqua venues. Games are also shown in the Casino Bar.
  3. From memory, I believe there are 3 outlets at the desk. Don't recall seeing any usb ports in cabin.
  4. Sometimes a Royal sale is a real sale. Was able to get the "Key" around Labor Day for $15.99 and included S&S internet + lunch on embarkation day in the MDR and some other misc. benefits.
  5. I'm D+ and my understanding you get 2 free days of internet or $51.98 off on-board internet package. You could minimize your cost by skipping the first day. D+ discount in not available in the cruise planner. You may be able to get in the terminal but not allow you to board until 11 or 11:30.
  6. If the Op broke down the costs by guest, we may be able to provide some further analysis and answers.
  7. Remember it's a junior suite and the gross numbers seems in the range. Assuming we assign the $800+ cost to the child then the average per adult is $4K per. Also, we don't know the child's age or ship. To your other question the 30%. I've never seen it be exactly 30% off but usually it's somewhere in the mid 30% off and a few times close to 40% Then there's the 60% off the 2nd Pax promo which I haven't seen in some time. Therefore, the question (assume 2 adults) what the difference between 30% each Pax vs. 60% off 2nd. Royal math.😂
  8. Same here. Based on flight we usually have a leisurely breakfast in the MDR and get off between 8-8:30. From the point of scanning our sea pass, getting our luggage and pass customs we are outside the terminal in the area of no more than 15 minutes.
  9. I find many times that the summary is incorrect, and I usually look at "view price by guest."
  10. Too bad. I was hoping to order French Onion soup every night as it fills me up. Now as a fall back, need to examine multiple entrees on nights that the soup is not on menu. Got an Anthem Feb. 4th sail and hoping the original menu is still in place. In all of my sails I've never dined in the WJ as I consider the MDR a dining experience. Have to reexamine my thinking.
  11. Also, the entrees stayed mostly to the themed nightly menu. I found an old menu from the original Specialty Restaurant Portofino that puts the 2 Italian based restaurants ( Giovanni’s & Jamie’s ) to shame.
  12. Same with us as my granddaughter is lactate problems. The headwaiter went over the next night menu and recommended/changed some of the ingredients. Some nights he recommended some entrees that were not in menu. She felt very special with all of the attention.
  13. All they are going to find in my luggage is dirty clothes.😆
  14. Not necessarily. I’ve seen large bags being put thru the scanners. I did it on my December Oasis sail from Miami, as United Air was having problems getting sufficient stewards and had to wait some 1+ hours to get the full complement. Of course plane arrived late and I was concerned that the bag would be late delivered to my cabin. With some effort got my ‘29 inch soft side on the rollers to go thru the scanner. A bit of inconvenience in getting bag thru the crowd on the 5th deck and an elevator to my deck/cabin.
  15. That's wonderful. Wonder if there are any other celebratory events that Royal allows on their ships. Decades & decades ago, cruise ships allowed family and friends to board and celebrate with Bon Voyage parties. Those were the days of streamers and confetti adorning the ship and pier.😊
  16. Usually, the waiter will tell you and identify the chef's recommendations.
  17. Thanks for your unbiased review. Surprisingly, unless I missed it, you are the first to provide any feedback on the new menu. Looking forward to further reviews and especially the lobster as to the size and quality. Note: IMO, your reviews should be as a topic.
  18. Has anyone had experience if one uses miles for an airline ticket and purchases trip insurance as part of this transaction. Does the insurance company reimburse for the replacement cost of airfare, etc.
  19. Did you ever consider that the food was not to their liking. On my December 4 Oasis sail, I was dying for tuna salad in the WJ. They put out chicken and egg salad, but alas no tuna. One day they had seafood salad. I said to myself wonder what the ingredients are. So, I took a couple of spoons, and the damn dish was bland and no taste--simply disgusting. I was in no way eating such garbage. I remember prior to pandemic they used to have wonderful and tasty sandwiches made with wraps, rolls and subs. Now they just put the stuff out.
  20. Oh, good grief. Will be stopping in PC in a couple of weeks sailing from Bayonne and was hoping to make it a beach day.🙏
  21. Are you a C&A member. Many times, I find that the C&A desk is more attuned.
  22. The $83.99 applies in the cruise planner and it's for 2 specialty restaurants--Chop's being one. Then there's the C&A BOGO coupon available to D+ and higher which can be used for 2 diners either on the 1st or 2nd nights. Also, the BOGO can be used by 1 diner on the 1st and 2nd nights. Some Maitre Ds are a bit flexible with the 1 diner being able to convert the 2nd restaurant at a different night than the 2nd. Confusing🤣
