  1. Thanks for the trip cancellation part of CSR. I also have regular trip insurance. I have an issue regarding mobility that really could make travel brutal. I'l try to do PT and make it but if not do you think CSR easier than the one I have booked through USAA. TIA.
  2. Exactly. The times they are a changing 😞
  3. Thanks. It didn't seem particular to Oceania but rather that it can happen. And O hasn't been a saint lately and I read about the actions that all the lines are taking to reduce their debt. So I thought it was a general topic in a cruise line Board.
  4. @shepherd really Sincerely asking why you're laughing.
  5. We used to know someone who worked for her and said she wasn't fun to work with. I'll leave it at that.
  6. When I first saw this I was, like, is this a late April Fool's joke. But it appears not. And you're all wrong. Sorry. I know this because we were 'guaranteed' when I saw an article about this. I begged my TA who said she really couldn't do anything but it wasn't long before we were confirmed. I will never accept that status again. https://www.usatoday.com/story/travel/cruises/2023/11/30/royal-caribbean-passengers-denied-boarding/71749345007/
  7. Operative word "ladies" not "women." BIG difference 🙂
  8. My husband still has a tuxedo from some cruises way back then. Unfortunately our sons in laws didn't wear them to their weddings. So he couldn't outdress the grooms 🙂
  9. Even (most of) my husband's "dress shirts" are what's called "permanent press" come out of the dryer, hung on a hanger and worn as is. Also what are generally called "golf shirts." Nice cotton knit with a collar and a few buttons at the top. But honestly those dress if removed shortly after your evening 'stuff,' it will still be wearable. Again and again. Unless you dribble or "perspire." (In the South we say "Horses sweat, men perspire and ladies glow."
  10. As far as not having it in the res-only restaurants I wonder with the small number of people dining there if it just doesn't make sense to spend THAT kind of money and maybe have some leftover. As far grilling, I wouldn't do it any other way. https://www.thespruceeats.com/how-to-grill-prime-rib-335743
  11. I must have misread or skipped something. I didn't know you'd had one so you knew what to expect. Sorry.
  12. That's 100% our 'status' if you will. It was pretty shocking when we booked round trip Seattle/Amsterdam and Stockholm/Seattle, Polaris business class, refundable and we each have plenty left. When I read all the troubles that people have with air issues using real money, I'm so glad we had that.
  13. We'll love it as we almost always order starters rather than main. More goodies to try.
  14. Well, I'm 76 and found that actually horrifying. I was raised in the South and good manners were key.
  15. I abjectly apologize. Obviously I should have scrolled DOWN. Thanks for showing this. VERY nice looking shoes.
  16. Thanks so much. So it will hold 14 or 28 vitamin pills.
  17. Curious what you consider "basic." Does that include evacuating you off the ship, flying to the nearest hospital, emergency surgery, etc.
  18. I have no idea what those are. If you could provide a photo? I'm trying to pills in the drink packet that then becomes a beverage.
  19. I shudder to think what was in that second main that you couldn't taste but those in the back got a chuckle.
  20. We still have a very big one of those. More for car trips and moving these days.
  21. Shh. Don't tell my frugal, Scottish husband or we'll like never travel again. J/K
  22. Thanks, buddy. I personally would say 'don't do it.' I had a procedure done recently that involved one night in the hospital. $11,000 and I'm betting more will come. Our Medicare and supplement have taken care of everything these last 'few' years.
  23. Alright I stand corrected. But I still hate them - with or without socks 🙂 Do most people wear socks with slides? The answer is yes. For some, socks and sandals is a big no-no. But for those wholove the combo- you are not alone! Different classes of people from all around the world are rocking this edgy trend, it's been going on for centuries- even the Romans were fond of the pair.Jan 17, 2024 Socks & Slides Are Here To Slay - Freedom Moses freedomoses.com https://freedomoses.com › blogs › blog › socks-slides-ar
