Hi, First time doing Western Caribbean and need help on a couple Princess Excursions (that I did not find answers to in Port section) BELIZE - I'm torn between Scenic Wildlife River Cruise and the Lamanai Mayan Ruins. The Scenic Wildlife River Cruise is a slow 2hr river cruise viewing wildlife. But in Reviews someone was disappointed saying it cruised by construction and busy street! This is not my idea of a wildlife cruise, but others said it was fantastic. Has anyone taken it that can comment on the the construction and busy street? BELIZE - Lamanai Mayan Ruins is pretty much all day. It looks nice but the river cruise portion is by speed boat. I can't imagine getting wildlife pics at that speed. Reviews mentioned a long twisting road getting there. Any feedback on the river by speed boat and ride there and back are appreciated. ROATAN - I booked the Relax on the Beach Package, but am thinking of canceling it to visit LITTLE FRENCH KEY by private excursion. The owner said she would pick us up and bring us back to the ship anytime we wanted. They also have a Sloth tour you can add on for $15. Princess has an excursion to Big French Key which is next door, but I have read it does not compare to Little French Key. Has anyone visited LITTLE FRENCH KEY privately, and what was your experience there?

Hi, Can anyone tell me your recent experience on Little French Key? It looks beautiful. I came across posts here talking about the old owner still in control of the FB page and Website, and he is discouraging people visiting there. I emailed the owner Larissa, and she quickly replied and gave me the new website. She said I could just book with her by email for the date and time...they will send driver to pick us up in port and return us whenever we wanted. We would pay onsite for the package we want on day of arrival. I would love to go there, but I would like to hear from those who have been there recently. How was your experience at Little French Key? Thanks so much!

Hi, We will be on the Sky Princess Feb 25. I booked the Standard package without perks. I planned on purchasing an internet plan...but I can not seem to find one to purchase on Princess website or Medallion app! Do they make you purchase the perks package to get internet? Also, I'm confused on the Main Dining Rooms. In the app I saw 3 to choose from Ceilo, Soieil and Estrella. I booked different ones for different nights and now I'm wondering if that was a mistake? Any input is appreciated.

We normally never do ship excursions, but I didn't feel confident getting taxi on our own since we have never been to Roatan before. I am now looking into Little French Key. It looks pretty and they pick you up and bring you back to ship.

We booked a cruise for next month to Coz/Roatan/Belize/Costa Maya and didn't realize we had to have valid passports. Ours expire in May and was told they must be good 6months from your return date. I put them in the mail for renewal Monday and paid for expedited processing and return mail. Crossing fingers we get them back in time. I was talking to someone yesterday that said his daughter received hers back in 3 weeks and she didn't even do expedited. Hopefully they are processing faster now.

Hi, We are sailing on Sky Princess next month for the first time. This is the first time we have sailed this Itinerary: Cozumel/Roatan/Belize/Majahual I've tried looking in Ports of Call but have not found answers to my questions. I booked these 2 excursions through Princess and could use some feedback. Also need help with Belize excursions. COZUMEL ELITE CHAMPAGNE CATAMARAN SAIL AND SNORKEL WITH LUNCH ( I booked this) We have taken many Catamaran sails in the Caribbean (booked independent operators) and assume this one booked through Princess will be just as nice since there are only 34 passengers aboard it. But if anyone has taken it and were disappointed, please advise. ROATAN RELAX ON THE BEACH PACKAGE PLUS SNORKEL FOR TWO (I booked this) I have read that you only need to purchase one ticket for two people, so I cancelled the second ticket for my husband. 1. DOES THE PRINCESS PACKAGE INCLUDE A BEACH AREA THAT IS PRIVATE OR ANY DIFFERENT THAN JUST GOING THERE OURSELVES? (I like that it is close to the ship and we can go back and forth as needed with a wrist band for lift, but wondering about the beach itself) 3. IS THERE A BETTER ROATAN BEACH IF WE WANT BEAUTIFUL CLEAR WATER TO SWIM WITH NICE BEACH CHAIRS AND SHADE? (My husband needs to be able to get in the shade, a clamshell won't work all day for him) If there is a better place, please advise and how to get there. OTHER OPTION 4. TABYANA BEACH BREAK AND LUNCH WAS ANOTHER OPTION, BUT REVIEWS SAID IT WAS A LONG TWISTING ROAD THERE. DOES ANYONE HAVE FEEDBACK ON THIS EXCURSION? (45min travel by Mini Bus) IS IT ANY BETTER THAN MAHOGANY BAY BEACH? BELIZE I do not have any excursions booked here. Could use some help. SNORKELING WONDERS OF THE BARRIER REEF 4hrs $74pp (Our cruise is next month and I notice no one has booked this?) SCENIC WILDLIFE RIVER CRUISE 2hrs $79pp Not many tickets available. Only 2 hrs what do we do the rest of the day? LAMANAI MAYAN RUINS RIVERBOAT SAFARI WITH LUNCH 6hrs $139pp (again....many departure times available but no one has booked?) This one sounds like it would be a great way to spend the day it's an hour each way, and not sure I want to be in an enclosed vehicle that long. It does say it's air conditioned though... MAJAHUAL COSTA MAYA I read taxis are $2-$3pp. Thinking of going to a beach (with shade and loungers), any suggestions? I've seen people mention Krazy Lobster in Ports section. We have used Steve with Trip Insurance Store dot com for many years! Amazing service. I just contacted him about my situation where our Passports may not arrive in time for our cruise and I will be beyond cancellation to see if a CRAR policy will help.

We always fly in the day before. Our friends almost missed our cruise one time because they did not... and their connecting flight was delayed. But I imagine you have a non stop flight from Atlanta? If so, you are in better shape, you just need to hope your flight doesn't get cancelled due to shortage of pilot, weather etc. And usually, if you have an early flight, there is another later flight they could put you on if something goes wrong with the first one. BUT...the ship leaves at 3:30pm and all passengers must be on board by at least 2:30pm so that doesn't give you much wiggle room. We are flying into Ft Lauderdale next month for the Sky and were tempted to arrive at 9:30am the same day of cruise. But with so many flight cancelations with all airlines since Covid, we decided just to fly in the night before and get a cheap hotel. ($177 wasn't that cheap, but compared to others it was the least amount) Most airlines have No Change Fees for changing flights. If you are going to be stressing the whole time, maybe see if changing your flight to the day before is possible, if you are worried about it. Happy Sailing!

Hi, Thank you for your reply. I have a question...you mentioned Global Entry. We also have Global Entry. It's been a while since cruising to the Caribbean. Do we need passports? (Ours need renewing, they expire May 2023) Can we use Global Entry at pier? I've only used upon returning to U.S. at airports. Thanks!

Thank you everyone for your honest replies. I knew 9:00am was going to be stressful, but haven't flown after a cruise in many years and wasn't sure how things are these days. (We have been traveling to Europe, but feel the need to cruise the Caribbean again) We will look at 3:00pm flights.

Hi, I am looking at air for a Sky Princess cruise out of Ft Lauderdale. Itinerary says ship docks at 6:00am (I am aware that there can be delays). We will do self disembark as early as possible and we have TSA Pre-Check. Question: Would 9:00am flight be okay? The next earliest flight isn't until 3:00pm I'm asking those who have actually had a good or bad experience with this early of a flight out of FLL. It's been many years since we have flown out of FLL. Thank you!

I haven't had any luck with this email contact. Also no response after writing John Padget and others. Princess really doesn't care about you after they've taken your money. We had a horrible cruise on the Crown. They basically did a bait and switch, changing our itinerary at the last minute (after assuring us that OUR itinerary would not change) They knew all along that they would not fix the engine problem until dry dock at end of Alaska season, yet they continued to sell the ORIGINAL itinerary up until days before our departure. Other sailings received FCC, we received nothing. I have gotten no where with Princess and will be moving forward with Celebrity and Oceania, which we love anyway. Btw, our friends booked the Diamond for this October and Princess cancelled their cruise due to staffing shortages. Princess has not refunded their money and now they have turned it over to their bank to deal with Princess. Best of luck to you.

They couldn't get the door to unlock on my brother in laws cabin (C726). The crew and management spent 3 hours trying to get it to unlock. It would unlock with the crew keycards but not with the medallion. So they told them to go to guest services and they would issue them key cards for their door. They waited in line over an hour and the key cards didn't work! They moved them to C730 and they were told it was the only cabin available besides inside cabins. Our shower water in C722 would intermittently get scolding hot and you couldn't get it any cooler than really hot. But none of that ruined our cruise....it was the itinerary changes. We booked the Crown for the ITINERARY.

I will be writing to Princess again. I will let you know if we receive FCC. They really need to do the right thing and issue it to everyone on the Crown for the Alaska season, not just give it to some and not others. We were also in Aft cabins C722-C726, the vibration was terrible! I will let you know if I hear back from Princess.

Hi, thanks for your reply. How do I address the letter to "Julie" do you know her last name or which department? I would be happy with any form of FCC. This was our first Alaska cruise and we were originally booked on the Discovery with my husbands 2 brothers and sister in laws. I suggested we rebook on the Crown due to the better itinerary with Glacier Bay and Ketchikan, and we did. My brother in law has terminal cancer and he was so excited for this trip. We were past our final payment when the Crown started it's Alaska season and I started reading on these boards about the problems. I feel really bad that we switched ships and basically missed everything he hoped to see with us. Our cabins were also at the back of the ship and the vibration was terrible! I am hoping to get us a FCC and do another cruise with my brother in law, very soon. I sure wouldn't trust paying full price on another Princess cruise. My friend just had the rug pulled out from under her on her first vacation since pre Covid on a Princess cruise to Mexico. There are Elite with Princess and after what happened with us and now herself, they will now be sailing on Celebrity. I believe you will love Oceania! We haven't sailed with them in 5 years (due to land trips to Italy instead of cruising) but we have been on the Regatta twice. We really enjoyed the smaller ship and that you can be anyplace in just a couple minutes. We have also sailed on the Marina and Sirena twice each and they are absolutely beautiful and not much bigger. The food is outstanding, no other cruise line we have ever been on can begin to compare to Oceania's dining rooms and food experience. The ONLY thing I do not care for on Oceania is their night time entertainment. But to be honest, we really don't go to many of the shows on other cruise lines anyway. I hope you enjoy cruising with Oceania as much as we have!
