Good morning everyone. Thanks for the daily report, recipes and lists. Another gloomy day here similar to yesterday. We did brighten the day yesterday by attending a ukulele concert downtown as part of the Harborfest celebrations; everyone was smiling even though it was raining. I like the days today and the quote reminds us to take each day as it comes. The meal suggestion sounds delicious but I’m guessing that the drink will be too sweet for me. I look forward to the photos of today’s port as we’ll be there next June. Prayers for everyone on our prayer list, I hope Ivan recovers soon. Rabbit rabbit rabbit. Good morning everyone. Thanks for the daily report. Happy Canada Day to all of our daily friends up north (or south if you live in the Detroit area). A nice collection of days, chicken wings, jokes and devotion to duty, I like them all. I’ve been having Greek Salads for lunch lately and never tire of them, plus they’re easier to make than regular salads. The drink sounds really good. I’ve been to Halifax once and loved it. Boston gets it’s Christmas Tree from Halifax each year dating back to the explosion there in 1917. The first relief trains with doctors and supplies came from Boston to aid the injured and homeless. Good morning everyone. Thanks for the daily report. A nice collection of days, it’s nice to see handshakes returning after Covid rendered them obsolete. Charlottetown is a lovely place that we visited in 2013 on the Veendam. I remember the delicious mussels and the really lovely residents. Not to forget the Cows ice cream, of course! We toured the Alden B Dow house last year with my cousin who was living in Midland at the time. DH who is an architect, was very impressed with the design and the juxtaposition of the house and the pond. I (who am a professed train fanatic) loved the elevated model railroad in the house. I would tour it again in a heartbeat.

The folks complaining of the class system must never fly on commercial airlines. What with special airport lounges, priority boarding, a curtained off seating area onboard with private restroom! We live in a capitalist society where you get what you pay for, an informal class system has already been established. Give me that totebag!

To top it off another niece got engaged while there and my family threw a surprise retirement party for DH. There was no dieting last weekend! Busy weekend ahead, we’re flying to Northern Michigan to attend my niece’s high school graduation party, looking forward to being in the homeland for a bit.
