    CONCERNED!!

The screaming, caps-lock headline of this thread has been a bit of a visual irritant for me. However, uktraveller's post #27 is quite legitimately concerning and sadly, the headline now suits.
  2. We spent 3 days pre-cruise in 2019, a great way to slide into our Azamara Greece Intensive sailing. The Hotel Rastoni in Aegina, close to the Temple of Apollo and Archaeological Museum, was perfect for us. Where will you stay?
  3. This has been such an informative thread. I thank you all for your comments - sincere or in jest, pithy or verbose - all have been useful and have absolutely aided our decision about which ship we'll board next winter.
  4. I am so enjoying your posts, Noggins! And, good news about the White Night party, it does sound as though you enjoyed yourself. We were at anchor in the Santorini caldera during our first Azamara White Night - under a full moon, no less. It was especially wonderous and is now a very happy memory.
  5. I believe both the Jan. 21, 2023 and March 4, 2023 cruises on the Paul Gauguin each will have 2 stops in PNG, and one in the Solomon Islands. They are to- and fro-ing for dry dock : )
  6. Both Paul Gauguin and Seabourn have itineraries that include the Solomons and New Guinea...
  7. "Sicily - Malta Intensive." Is this at all practical? It seems there would be much opportunity for overlapping cultures and historical sites, and a nice, long sail between the islands.
  8. Uomo a Mare: "Man Overboard"? "A Sailing Man"? I am enjoying your posts, Ivi, thank you very much.
  9. Today's N.Y. Times suggests that a more formal dining ethos is making a post-pandemic comeback: The Restaurant Dress Code Is Back - The New York Times (nytimes.com)
  10. Thank you for this question - and, the response. We're considering an Odyssey sailing which could have as many as 4 formal nights. For the past decade it's been Azamara for us with longer port stays and no formal nights; I'm hoping we can avoid the jacket & formal shoes scenario via Seabourn's casual eateries?
