  1. Our day starts with room service coffee as our alarm. Sit on our balcony to have coffee and watch the ocean. Into our "breakfast " clothes and head to lido. Blue Iguana?, buffet? Blue Java? That's a game day call. Back to cabin to change and off to Serenity with a book. Then to spa to enjoy thalassotherapy pool, stone lounges and shower. Lunch, some kind of drink and roam the ship to looked for something to do. Back to cabin to change for dinner and decide where to eat. Have a pre-dinner cocktail at Alchemy, dinner and probably a show and then some people watching. Stroll on the outside decks. Back to cabin for a glass of wine on the balcony. Good night
  2. You sound a little sour. Maybe Carnival or sailing not for you.
  3. Currently, I am dancing with who brought me. We have enjoyed all our Carnival cruises. I am platinum and the hubs will be plat our next cruise. We have thoroughly enjoyed all our Carnival cruises. Good value, virtually the same ports as other lines; We are looking at Princess now just to change things up.
  4. That's noble of you, but if we keep lowering the bar for behavioral expectations, we all lose. What is acceptable today is a far cry of what was acceptable in the past and the world is not a better place.
  5. You know, people always say if you don't like whatever, just go somewhere else. That is an option, but I happen to like the Carnival product. Why should people be.chased away because of bad behavior of parents that don't supervise their children? I am not anti-kid, I am anti-nonpresent parents.
  6. Hence the timers on most hot tubs. Thalassptheropy pools are entirely different. The ones on the Dream class are are large and enclosed. The bubbles are "vigorous " so you have to hold on. The water is on the verge of hot and is full of minerals.
  7. I am not a huge hot tubber, but I am a thalassotherapy pool fan. we usually book a spa room for unlimited access to it. I don't see how anyone can stay in either one for hours.
  8. I've seen kids snorkle in them. I'm not a huge hot tub user, occasionally on the evening on Serenity.
  9. On another thread complaining about kids in the hot tubs, one parent responded with "I paid just as much money as anyone, so my kids are just as entitled to the hot tubs as anyone". Oy vey.
  10. Shhhhhh. Freedom might take this as a challenge.
  11. You just can't make this stuff up.
  12. What's the purpose of this drink? Does it add flavor or is it just a novelty?
  13. We used to get it when it was $50. Now that your rooms are not ready and now you can select your arrival time, it's just not worth it especially if you do not have a tendered port. The only benefit is the GS line. But is that worth the outrageous cost?
  14. So easy. If you get a good driver, you can tell them when you want to go back to the port and they'll be back to get you.
  15. We visit John Whatlings every time we're in Nassau. The pina coladas are the best. However, we always take a taxi up there. We were warned once by a local to not walk.
  16. So glad you enjoyed your cruise. We'll be sailing on the Magic in May. I will never understand the mind set of some people. Do they really think that screaming at GS is going to change things?
  17. We haven't cruised since Carnival stopped the door knob request for coffee, breakfast, etc. We used this as our wake up call. I understand you have to call and order morning coffee. My question, can you make this call the night before and set a delivery time?
  18. At the risk of piling on, even if the plane lands on time, remember, it takes a good 15 to 20 minutes or more to just deplane.
  19. It tastes ok, but it makes me swell. We always purchase the bottled water. I made the mistake of dri ki g the water they brought us at dinner. I swelled up like a puffer fish. It goes through desalination, but it still has a higher than average salt content.
  20. I would be concerned. You are cutting it so close. Hopefully you can get through the airport. You didn't say if you are checking luggage. If so, you have to account for that time to retrieve it. Hopefully the shuttle is there on time. If you get through all that, hopefully there isn't any traffic. I don't know what Carnival's policy is if you booked through them, but the ship can and will leave without you if you miss the all aboard. It's always a good decision to fly in the day before the cruise.
  21. Oh man, no more mushrooms?? At least you can still order bacon on your burger.
  22. For the ships that don't have a Guy's Pig and Anchor, can youvget a similar Bloody Mary?
  23. The last work day before vacation is always the worse. Like you, I save everything till the last minute. I'm usually still packing while the hubs is in the car honking for me.
