  1. I don't know how it can be repaired unless it's in dry doc. I'm sure they'll put some kind of "bandaid" on it. We're booked to sail on her in May and I don't mind saying I'm a little, um, I don't want to say concerned, but maybe I'm concerned.
  2. You can always tip extra. If we have a very good Waite staff, we will ask for them throughout our cruise. We will give extra gratuity at the end of the cruise.
  3. I don't see how the average working family can afford sailing on these mega ships, specifically RCCL. My son priced out for his family of 4 and it was ridiculous.
  4. So totally agree. The industry has turned the focus to the ship being the attraction and not the simplicity of just sailing and visiting foreign ports. I am sad to see this. We, of course, have the choice of not sailing on the "monstrosities", but that leaves the older and maybe not as well kept up ships. I believe there are still enough cruisers out there to cater to those who don't need or want to sail on a floating mall and amusement park.
  5. Do you have a copy of the policy? It should spell out what is covered and how much.
  6. Because we are a litigious society. We are always trying to blame someone else for our own actions. Now I am not saying these women are at fault. If anything at all, being a little too trusting, maybe. But they did not deserve what happened to them. The people at fault are the low life bottom feeders who perpetrated the crime.
  7. I never leave the port area in Nassau and Freeport. I have always heard it wasn't safe. I didn't read the articles, I wondering if these ladies were seasoned cruisers.
  8. The Dream class is our favorite. We love the Cloud 9 spa. The thalassotherapy pool is fabulous. The whole thermal suite is so calming and relaxing. It pays to get the spa pass.
  9. Slip $5 to the server and you'll get better service.
  10. Ack!!! Are you speaking from experience?? 😃 That's why we stick mainly to the thelossotherapy pool in the spa. 🙃
  11. I thought there was an age limit for the hot tubs. I rarely get in them because of the kids. Besides, you don't know what the kids do in the tubs. I guess they are good babysitters.
  12. We always try to book a balcony spa and there wasn't one available on a Vista sailing, so we booked a typical balcony. A few weeks later we were offered an upgrade to a spa balcony. We jumped on it. I think they use past bookings to offer upgrades at times.
  13. That's good to hear. First hand knowledge is the best, thank you.
  14. I worked at a major upscale department store for 11 years. There were always customers who have waited in line to check out, waited for me to ring up purchase, waited for me to bag purchase and waited for me to give them the total for them to start looking for the right credit card. They always have dozens of cards in their wallet and they can never find the one they are looking for. Don't get me started on coupons. But I digress.
  15. OMG, I didn't even think about this. Now I don't feel so bad handing over my printed boarding pass.
