Just off Freedom, 2 out of 10.

I love a good Reuben and heard how good Carnival's were. I tried one and it was mostly fat. This was a few years back on one of the Conquest ships. I would like to try it again on my upcoming cruise. Are they still fatty? -
Pirate’s LIVE Girls’ Trip on the Vista…April 6-14, 2024

We took the Paseo del Morro walk on our last vist to San Juan. The views were amazing. Also all the feral cats. Some are friendly an will appreciate a head scratch. We plan to take this walk again on our May cruise on the Magic. -
Is there any shopping at Half Moon Cay?
Butterbean1000 replied to Megan_Strick's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
Yes, there are the usual port gift shops. -
Gotcha, thanks.

So you're saying even though I put it on my credit card, they will apply it to my S&S acct, with tip and then remove the amount I put on my cc leaving the tip. We're using gift cards to fund the S&S acct. I'm guessing the service will be deducted from that. This just sounds so convoluted to me.

Just off the Magic (Mar 30 - Apr 6) (writeup)

Great review, thank you. The Magic is one if our favorite ships. We are booked on her next month. The last time I was on her I was pre-surgery and had to get around on a knee scooter. I'm really looking forward to being able to get around on the ship. I have heard that the Magic is in poor shape and needs some TLC. How did you find her, other than the bathroom issues? Also what terminal did you leave from? BTW, we're on Lake Lanier and Go Dawgs! -
I booked a service for 159 that goes for up to 199. My card was charged 159. So what I'm wondering is the 18% tip at the time of service. I'm guessing that will be applied to my S&S card. Like I stated before, I've never booked anything pre-cruise.

OK, I just spoke with Carnival. The price that states starting at......is the discounted price. When you go to book, it will show times and dates with a red flag. Those are the "up to 33% off" times and dates. I have never booked pre-cruise before so I never noticed this. I always wait to book once on board. I was expecting to have to put in a promo code

We received an email today for up to 33% off spa services on our upcoming Magic cruise The link does not work. Has anyone received this offer? How does it work? We are booked in a spa balcony. I plan on calling Carnival, but they have already closed tonight.

I can handle loud kids having fun (as long as it's not in the hallway late at night😉)

That's a good question. I have never used a Brita, we have a reverse osmosis filter on our sink.

We will continue to buy their water and pay their prices. I have drunk ship water and it tastes fine. However, even though it goes through a desalinization process, there is still a lot of salt in it. I swell up noticeably when I drink it. I still think it is worth the hassle it used to be bringing on your own.

Fish Lips is such a fun place. A perfect beginning for your cruise. -
You're braver than I am. Good luck and have a great cruise.

Hope this isn’t true and doesn’t happen

There are ALWAYS unhappy passengers about something. -
I took one sip and spit it out. I asked for a cup with no sugar. It was strong, but very tasty.

When we were in Ybor City, we noticed that just about every cigar shop we went into they would give you a small cup coffee. It was espresso made thick with sugar. Is this what y'all are calling Cuban coffee?

I don't think it looks bad.

Actually I do make my bed, habit. -
We're scheduled to be there the end of May. We only plan to stay in the city. I'm hoping this will minimize our exposure. I hate the thought of using DEET. I know there are other repellents out there, but not as effective. Also, I am one of the lucky few, mosquitoes don't like my blood. I can be with several people and I will be the only one not getting bit.

It doesn't baffle me. We have created a society of victims. I'll tell you what baffles me. People who don't get trip Insurance. In our case, we are spending just under $5000 for our next cruise. The cost of the cruise, airfare, parking, hotel, food, tips, and travel insurance, etc. I don't know about the rest of y'all, but that's a lot of money for us. Why wouldn't you spend a couple of 100 dollars to insure your investment? There are innumerable things that can happen to interfere with your plans. Sorry, not sorry for those without trip insurance.

Carnival is saying if you cancel your next cruise, you will be penalized $1000. People are losing they're minds. I may be in the minority, but how is this disaster, where people died, Carnival's fault? Trip insurance, people!!!!
