MSC Seascape February 17, 2024
The travelers are me F 51, my husband 52, our son, and my dad. We have all cruised MSC several times both in the Caribbean and Mediterranean. Dad had a balcony on the 12th deck. The three of us stayed in 12002, a one bedroom Aurea suite. We were not in the yacht club.
On Friday, our flights from New England to Fort Lauderdale were easy. We arrived about thirty or forty minutes late, but it was no big deal since we were a day early. We spent the first night in Staybridge Suites, 4901 Griffin Rd, Davie, FL. There was plenty of room in our two bedroom suite. We had dinner delivered by Uber Eats and ate the included breakfast the next morning. I also did a load of laundry (free but bring soap) so everyone had clean clothes for the return flights. We would stay here again.
We took an Uber on Saturday morning to the Port of Miami. It cost about $60 plus tip for an XL car. There was some traffic as usual. It took about one hour.
Our check-in at the ship was easy. My husband has diamond status, and we had no wait at all to check- in. Then we had our first time boarding the ship picture taken. We waited for our boarding group to be called. Here's where we waited a while to get to the security check point where our boarding passes
were scanned. It was awkward, and we have experienced a more organized entry from MSC in the past.
