Once on the ship, we wanted to make specialty dining reservations and went to Times Square as the welcome paper stated. There we were told we needed our room cards and to go to our cabins to get them. Once at our cabins, the cards were hanging on the door handle. We noticed that the cabin number did not match the actual cabin number on the wall. Once opened, we saw our names, and it was fine. We dropped off our bags and headed to the buffet. MSC Seascape February 17, 2024 The travelers are me F 51, my husband 52, our son, and my dad. We have all cruised MSC several times both in the Caribbean and Mediterranean. Dad had a balcony on the 12th deck. The three of us stayed in 12002, a one bedroom Aurea suite. We were not in the yacht club. On Friday, our flights from New England to Fort Lauderdale were easy. We arrived about thirty or forty minutes late, but it was no big deal since we were a day early. We spent the first night in Staybridge Suites, 4901 Griffin Rd, Davie, FL. There was plenty of room in our two bedroom suite. We had dinner delivered by Uber Eats and ate the included breakfast the next morning. I also did a load of laundry (free but bring soap) so everyone had clean clothes for the return flights. We would stay here again. We took an Uber on Saturday morning to the Port of Miami. It cost about $60 plus tip for an XL car. There was some traffic as usual. It took about one hour. Our check-in at the ship was easy. My husband has diamond status, and we had no wait at all to check- in. Then we had our first time boarding the ship picture taken. We waited for our boarding group to be called. Here's where we waited a while to get to the security check point where our boarding passes were scanned. It was awkward, and we have experienced a more organized entry from MSC in the past.

We are booked in the 1b Aurea suite on Seascape for mid February. I would be happy to give you our impressions once we return. We have had adjoining balcony state rooms on the Meriviglia. Once the inside connecting doors were unlocked, there was no way to lock them for privacy.

I have seen many small, colorful fish on Lighthouse Beach next to the rock wall near the lighthouse. I have also snorkled in the lagoon, but only saw a few gray fish.

How about fruit sorbet? My husband orders it nearly every evening in the main dining room.

We have gotten bottled water at many bars. Also, I have taken our barely opened water from the main dining room to our cabin. I figure it's going to be discarded anyhow.
