  1. The balcony on some other decks of these AFT cabins might be deeper/larger. Just a FYI.
  2. That is wonderful to hear! We will def. be booking.. I am really looking forward to it !
  3. NickandJessica, Thanks so much for that info... That is what we needed to know!!! Can you tell me how it all went.. what time you left from the Cruise Ship and what time you got back. I hope you had good weather and a great day.
  4. You might have to be very lucky to find one available, but you might look at the Reserve Mini-suites MID-Forward) on Deck 10. Just forward of the large extended balcony Deluxe cabin.
  5. Dashulak, thanks so much for that photo of the balcony on 14433! We were able to move to one of the Sphere balconies, One on the edge of the Sphere... Like the one next to 14433. I am glad! As the standard balconies on the bump-out sections of the ship seem to be small/shallow... not much better than the Royal Class. So, seeing that photo gives me a good visual of about how deep our balcony wlll be at the widest.
  6. Wow, with that suite at the Ritz! Just catching up... I will def. be spending a bit of time at Good Spirits!!! Vanilla Sky is one of our faves. That is a lot of 'pile' coming off of the new carpet. Somewhat usual for new carpet... but that is a lot of shedding!!!! Their poor vacuums. Hate to hear that the standard chairs on the balconies are just not comfortable! Note to self: bring a butt cushion! ( I always have one, good latex, because I am so short I have always used one in the drivers seat of the car! ) Looks like I see the foot-stools. Seems not all cabins have those yet. I am trying not to be a little 'green', and live vicariously thru your amazing photos as you explore new areas of Rome!
  7. Maybe off topic of this LIVE... But, about the motion sensors... Where are the sensors that control the nightlight at the bedside tables? I know I saw a good photo somewhere, but can not find it. I don't see anything that looks like an obvious sensor on the nightstand table.
  8. Ohhhhh my!!!! The same thing about the source of the beef had crossed my mind. I am truly hoping for some good beef onboard when we sail ! Thank You!!!
  9. I will add another to your post count here!!! I do not remember if you are spending some time now in Rome??? I am def. living vicariously thru the pictures and info on these European port stops. I hope Rome Cabs works out well, and you continue to have happy and safe travels!!!
  10. LOVE the videos!!!! The comedian is so funny and entertaining!!!! Once again... No words for how much we are loving this thread!! Thank you so much for this!!!! And, of course for Dides photos and info as well !!! I do like me a good Filet or a Prime Rib on a nice cruise... so loving the review and pics on that. Hope that the quality of beef is the same when the SUN gets to FLL.
  11. Thank you for that room service menu! I am thinking it does have a few more options than others before! I was one who had asked about that. Wonder, I do not have any experience with the suite life... But I believe that suites can order off of the MDR menus? I do not know about any other extra or unique offerings.
  12. I also thank you so much for the information that you could get about the Spa and any day passes. Yes, that daily rate does seem high. No 'firestorm' thought... We know what to expect. I am one to want to be out in the fresh air and sunshine as much as possible while cruising. If we get lucky enough enjoy some time in the Spa, a day pass will have to do. All of us here could not have enough words to thank you and to show our appreciation for all you have been doing here !!!
  13. There are def. videos from other ships like this where others were parked there, literally almost leaning back their loungers on the front of the balcony. You still might want to make sure that the loungers right outside your balcony are 'hogged'.
  14. Ohhh my.... Watching them try to pour that 'glop' with semi-solid onions out of that pitcher, designed for liquid, into that bowl... And, the brown color as well... something just nasty about that visual. Just WRONG.... I have no problem with a pourable soup... But it has to make sense. French onion soup is NOT supposed to be prepared this way. But, how did it taste...was that shredded cheese over that bread?
  15. " I can tell you that it involves deep breathing, a mantra and the Serenity Prayer." Amen and AMEN!!!! Love that!!! Again, I have posted on this topic of the Sanctuary, not just because I want to whine and kvetch etc.. But, because I think that Princess should hear all of our concerns as they attempt (attempt) to iron this out. Their lack of any cohesive policy, changing course mid-stream, and having no transparency... that is what has added to all of this conjecture and discussion.
  16. CanadianBurger... Wow! that pasta dish looks GREAT!!! There is no way we can thank you enough for all you are posting here for us.
  17. Osa, I believe mid-ship can be better than forward, especially when there are large rolling waves (high seas). But, yes, the lower deck will be good. Ended up on deck 15 forward once... whoa.. a bit to much motion for me.
  18. I will just say that JJ cruise are not the one's to look for when seeking information about Princess Cruises... NOT their forte.
  19. What is needed is to understand that "Sanctuary" has been an adult only area.. thus the name... A Suite Sundeck, would be a "Suite guests area"... which would include all ages. The deck plans clearly show two areas, and two names for these areas. THIS is the big question/confusion. Princess has been flying by the seat of their pants, and have not adequately thought this out and implemented. Hasn't it been posted a possible age 16+ restriction? I imagine that those less than 18 or 16 are welcome to the Suite Breakfast.
  20. Quick question... can we see on the new APP what the menu of food and drinks are for delivery thru the Medallion, to your location onboard? We have not used this before... as we don't mind getting up and grabbing what we want, but I can see us using this on the Sun!
  21. Abbey, The price for the Thermal Suite for the length the cruise can vary, possibly depending on the itinerary, length voyage, etc... I have heard some mention that the pass for their 10 day voyage was about $200. or about 20.00 per day. (do not remember if this was specific to the Sun?) The price for a 5 night/day voyage seems to be $123. if I am remembering correctly. Day passes do not seem to be available before boarding... perhaps these are on a first-come-first-served basis each day, depending on how many of the cruise duration passes are sold. I have heard that the Thermal Suite is available (supposedly) for up to a certain limited number of guests. This means that you might not be able to book a day pass until the day after boarding, the first full day of the cruise. I hope to hear more about this from those who are sailing the Sun Princess!!! This new ship could have their own unique system!
  22. I also thank those who have just posted their recent experience... and we are looking forward to bing on the Enchanted.. Hoping it will also be great when we finally board... but that is months from now!
  23. "Squish like grape." Love this!!! I totally agree. Those who are saying that this discussion is just 'whiners'... 'go. cruise elsewhere', etc... are totally missing the point. And that isn't a positive or even acceptable response. I had said earlier that Princess has NOT been transparent about this. And they still aren't. That is the reason for all of this discussion and possible disappointment. Not 'us'. Trying to follow this and figure it out, as well as being disappointed if one of the biggest venues/priorities, for us, on a Princess ship ( or any ship) is the Sanctuary as an adult only 'retreat' - that is valid. The deck plans, from the very very beginning, have shown BOTH a sanctuary and a Suite area. There is an actual bar/gate separating these areas. Which I also believe they could now use to have small 'adult' area' and also a family suite area. And, make no mistake... a bar-gate is not necessary for that... That was not the purpose of having that there. Signage and the Sanctuary staff should be adequate. Princess, once again, in all of it's wisdom has made some mistakes here... And they are trying to back-peddle, big time. I am willing to be patient and watch to see what unfolds - as we will not be on the Sun in the near future... But I, and hopefully many others here, are quick to comment because we want to know that Princess does hear all of this. (there is some indication that there are 'suites' onboard and that this CC board might also be seen.)
