  1. I think the whole show thing is changing too. We used to always do dinner followed by the show and the shows were nightly. That's not necessarily the case any more. On our last few cruises there have been nights when there was no show to go to.
  2. You must be disappointed at the lack of longer itineraries over autumn/winter 2025/26. I'm only looking for one but I know you usually string together a series of b2b's. 😕
  3. The eastbound transatlantics in spring 2026 haven't been released yet (except for Harmony from Galveston). They usually show up when the corresponding European itineraries are released which, historically, tends to be in November-ish.
  4. We were consistently in and out in that time frame on our cruise on Symphony last week.
  5. I like the layout of these forward-facing rooms. It makes them feel more spacious than the "normal" ones. If there any on a higher floor available you'll get a better view. They are considered obstructed because they overlook the helipad. The higher you go the less obtrusive that becomes.
  6. Yes, sorry, forgot about the summer. The 7-nighters out of SJ are from November 2025 through to April 2026. There's an 8-night repo from Fort Lauderdale on the 31st of October.
  7. Maybe doing dry dock in Cadiz before heading back across the pond?
  8. I would have thought so. Serenade and Radiance are both in Alaska in summer 2025 but have nothing loaded afterwards so I would say they are prime candidates for the canal.
  9. Very disappointed that the only sailings longer than 8 nights out of either Miami or Fort Lauderdale is a single holiday sailing on Freedom. ☹️ I guess all I can do now is keep everything crossed that either Serenade or Radiance will fill that gap.
  10. They look broken to me too but when I click on the black screen that comes up where the image should be it does take me to the pdf.
  11. There are usually 9-11 night Caribbean cruises, and sometimes a few 12-nighters, out of both Miami and Fort Lauderdale over the winter period. If you search for cruises of that length departing from those ports between November 2025 and April 2026, there are none at all; the longest are 8 nights. If you do the same search but for the period November 2024 to April 2025, you have Grandeur doing 9-nighters out of fort Lauderdale and Explorer doing 10 and 11-nighters out of Miami. So that's what we're still missing. I'm waiting for these ones so I really hope they haven't decided not to have them any more.
  12. My favourite is the Asian menu but that usually only shows up on longer sailings. I also like Welcome Aboard and Caribbean.
  13. We skipped Mexican and UK on our recent cruise. If we had skipped a third one it would have been Italian.
  14. Assuming you mean C&A, tier level has no impact on boarding time or process unless you're Pinnacle.
  15. I'm thinking it might be worthwhile reposting your question on the cruise air forum as that would widen your audience to cruisers from other lines too.
  16. Not going to argue with you. My son was a GC holder prior to getting citizenship. The information I gave is the information his immigration attorney provided him with. So which attorney is right? Who knows. Everything about the law comes down to interpretation and if the cruise line's interpretation is that both passport and GC are required they can and will deny boarding. Their ship, their rules.
  17. The problem is not getting into the other countries on the itinerary. It's getting back into the US. A green card proves residence; it doesn't prove citizenship. That's why the passport is needed as well as the GC. US citizens must provide both a government issued photo ID which proves who they are, while the birth certificate proves citizenship. A green card holder must present their passport and their green card to cbp on arrival back in the country. A green card alone is not enough and Cbp officers have authority to deny entry. In fact, they have discretional authority to deny entry even if you have both. Carriers are required to ensure that passengers have the necessary documentation to re-enter the US. Non-residents will be asked to show their ESTA or their visa before being allowed to board, for this very reason. Out of the proverbial "abundance of caution" (i.e. to cover themselves against potential penalties) any passenger who does not, in the carrier's opinion, meet the criteria will be denied boarding. Not to say that mistakes can't be made and someone incorrectly denied boarding but why would you take the risk? See the replies by @Ferry_Watcher and @mscinmia, both of whom work at cruise ports and confirm both documents are required.
  18. Check out this thread and in particular the very helpul plan created by @robtulipe in post #9. It looks like your obstruction will be the top of the lifeboat so that's a better scenario than if it were a davit. Even if you can't find a pic or video of your own cabin, you may be able to find one of another cabin that has a similar obstruction, as per the plan, just so you can see the effect of the lifeboat. Otherwise, those rooms are all very similar.
  19. And just to stress that even if no visa is required, both the green card AND the passport are needed in order to board, as neither serves alone. Turning up at the port with only one or the other will result in being denied boarding.
  20. I'd expect, given the size and composition of your family, that by the time you get everyone settled and make your menu choices, it'll probably be 6 before you actually start eating. If necessary, your servers will be able to bring something for the grands to nibble on while everyone is deciding.
  21. We boarded at Fort Lauderdale on the 10th, a week past Saturday. The lady in front of us told the agent on the door she had a later check in time and did she have to wait. His answer was, no you can just come right on in.
  22. @bonsai3s, thanks for the tag. Hope you're doing well. 😊 @Niallnas, here is the link to my review of what was an amazing cruise. I hope it helps. 😊
  23. I'm on Symphony now. We had white night on night 4 and Caribbean on night 5. Our first formal was night 3. Your days will probably differ. I think they made some changes on this sailing to accommodate Superbowl. For example, the first formal night would normally have been night 2 but that was superbowl so they switched to night 3 instead.
