  1. A favorite of ours is Chez Napoleon ,less than 5 minutes from the cruise port.
  2. My father was a Soccer player.He was born in Poland,lived in the UK briefly and came to the US in 1913 .He played in the Immigrant Soccer League from 1913 or 1914 til the mid 20’s.
  3. Bon Bons cost more than goobers and raisenets.Getting Bon Bons was a treat .Fifty cents to see a movie,ten cents for pop corn .Not just one movie,a double feature plus a news reel.
  4. We have made lifelong friends from sitting with people on cruises every night for dinner.
  5. On my first two cruises there was no such thing as a specialty restaurant. and on my first cruise no such thing as a buffet option.
  6. I have friends from childhood who live all over the US currently and still root for the teams they rooted for as kids.
  7. Your Brooklyn born and raised BIL and I lived in the same area at the same time .Every kid living in Brooklyn at that time was a Dodgers fan. My friend Dave who grew up in the same area was a Dodgers fan and later a Mets fan even when living in Houston and later on in a Dallas suburb.
  8. Many,many years ago my wife and I were on a cruise .We had something called a camera and took many pictures in the first port we were in. I accidentally dropped the camera and it no longer functioned.I was telling this to my table mates at dinner.Apparently our Waiter heard the discussion because on the last night of the cruise he gave me a camera.He took pictures at every port that he thought I would like and gave me the camera.I offered him $ but he refused to take it. I tipped him with all the money I had .Hopefully he did not have to split it with his co-workers.
  9. Today is the wedding anniversary of my older daughter and her husband .They have been married 26 years but have been together 32 years.We will celebrate the anniversaries and birthday late this afternoon and tonight.
  10. I grew up in Brooklyn rooting for the Dodgers.The very first baseball game I went to in person was in Yankee Stadium.
  11. In the mid 60’s I was dating a woman native to Jamaica,BWI.One evening her grandmother was visiting and made a dish called Pickled Pigs Feet.That was the least desirable food I ever saw.
  12. Well,the President of the last company I worked for was a childhood friend of Rico Petrocelli.At the time he was actively playing I rooted for the Red Sox against the Crankees.
  13. I agree totally .I have a very close friend who lost her 21 year old daughter to a hit and run driver.If it was not for therapy I do not know where my friend and her husband would be now.
