  1. We left the ship Dec 22nd ;as we have all family members gathered for the Holidays ,4 adult children & spouses , 7adult grand children & spouses & 5 great grand children

We really have been sailing more on Holland America line ships because they sail from the San Diego pier which is a 30 minute drive for us .We can get all these R/T cruises from SD : Hawaii , Hawaii & South Pacific , Mexico , Coast of California & Panama Canal R/T Soon we will have 95 cruises in our history
  3. There are No Oasis Class ships leaving Europe Sept, Oct. or Nov.2024 . That is the only class ship we would want to try .We have been on all the other classes . so we will stay on here for the 3 southern Calif ports
  4. That will be a exception as we will fly business class . We need all the comfort we can get in our mud 80s & with scooter & walker . However ,i just checked & non of the Oasis class ships are returning to Florida either October or November .I should check September just to be sure
  5. In December 2022 on Koningsdam we did not get them . They claimed we would get them on the next cruise .Has this happened to other people & did you really get 2 tiles or 3 tiles & what is going on with the medallions .We did not get our first medallion yet
  6. These neigborhoods are in the Royal Caribbean Oasis class ships . They start at 220,000 tons & larger .Just take a look at Wonder of the Seas & now ICON of The Seas & there are several huge ones before those .These are the more recent giants .All have neighborhoods .However ,non restrict you to stay there . when you even book a inside cabin you can go into all the public areas of those ships

  8. We are only buying Yearly Travel Insurance now . Allianz Insurance is huge & offers yearly ins which in our case is a whole lot cheaper / We did not as yet insure the cruise . I did not ask vut the TA said we will get full credit from RCL . when the credit comes in we can tell if it is in fact from RCL because we have the $500 credit due as well for the cruise they cancelled which was 7 nights to a charter

If you organize a well planned Meet & Greet & more than 25 people sign up ,I would encourage you to contact the ships coordinator who arranges all these meetings ,special events during any cruise . Call Celebrity & just ask for their name & e-mail address . That way you can request a private location , a mic for senior officer questions & answers ,light refreshments of coffee ,tea ,water & cookies . Also you can ask that a no host bar be available What is very important is to have the ships coordinator advise the available senior officers that there is a Meet & Greet with date & time .when you board the ship go to the ships customer relations desk & ask them to also invite the Captain ,Staff Captain , Hotel Director , Cruise director ,Restaurant Manager ie . Those senior officers if they can will arrive to answer questions .One question per member via the mic hook up In the past we have had the Captain , Hotel Director & Cruise director available & it was a very successful meeting plus people did get together to chat
  10. We just changed from the Martini Bar to Cellar Masters location . Thank you that is a much netter place
  11. We try to keep our Meet & Greet to one full hour not 20 minutes .The problem we found with meeting for sail aways is that some people want to get settled into their stateroom & place luggage contents into draws & also the dreaded drill . This then limits who will come is what we found
  12. We will be looking at RCL for a TA cruise in 2024 .Most likely the fall of the year . We need to book early to get a handicap cabin even on the Oasis Class ships .Definitely REFUNDABLE
  13. In this sad case it is true that it was better for TA to deal with RCL However there can be situations where the customer needs info to contact the cruise line .

  15. That is not true RCL phone system said to press this button if you have a TA .Then you talk with them . The problem with the cruise lines today vs pre pandemic is that most all phone contacts are off shore , could be people in the Phillipines ,Guatemala ,Mexico ,Caribbean ie .some have better understandable English than others . It was a easy transfer from RCL to our TA .some other lines it is paper work before transferring

  17. At one time pre pandemic X set up the Meet & Greets here on Cruise Critic . Now they do not .So we are doing out own . It is simple go to Cruise Ship Deck Plans on the internet & pic a location suitable .On our Soltice cruises ,we picked the Martini Bar ,deck 4 port side near the mid ship elevators . We ark people to wear Mardi Gras beads or a white sticker with their first name & cruise critic name for ID purposes only . You may find on Trans Atlantic Ocean cruises larger groups & all I would do then is to contact the ships coordinator via phone to Celebrity & ask permission for the larger meeting areas . You may ask for a mic ,serving of light refreshments like coffee ,tea ,water & cookies & a no host open bar . Generally speaking Meet & Greets should be done the first sea day & 10;30 to 11:30 AM seems to work the best By contacting the ships coordinator they also can invite senior officers who have tie to attend .We have found passing the mic from one person to the next for one question each works the best to senior officer staffs . We even have had the ships captains in attendance from time to time Also follow up with a personal invitation to senior staff ,at the customer relations desk upon boarding the ship . Senior Staff can be Ships Captain ,Staff Captain ,Chief Engineer , Hotel Director , Restaurant Manager , Cruise Director ie Best of Luck 😃
  18. Although I could not get to first base withRCL personnel our Travel Agency pursued this issue for us & reported back that RCL is going to give back the full credit . Our TA took over both bookings some time ago .This ends now
  19. This is going into small claims court .The process has been started ,RCL personnel must appear .If not I win hands down
  20. This is not human nature for most people . We all have lives to lead besides cruises or fun trips .
  21. People defending the cruise line we got to wonder who they truly are ?? FWIW I did not cancel the 7 night cruise they did . They placed us in a very awkward position by doing this .A good will gesture of a FCC would have solved the issue ,simple . They play hardball so can I
