  1. Agree but ta says it has to be paid at final payment. Will deal with it.
  2. Told her to call. She thinks it can only be fixed if it's added to confirmation and paid at final payment.
  3. I agree but when we got the new lower fare the new confirmation, with original booking date and booking number, it showed the new gratuity rate. Trying to get ta to fix it and then will prepay before we sail.
  4. That's what I thought. Ta didn't know that. Tried to explain. Understand ta is a family member who I have to use.
  5. Don't want to prepay at final payment date. That would be 4 months prior to sailing for one cruise.
  6. Yes prepay before sailing but at which rate? And prepay is anytime before sailing. In the past have done it a few weeks before sailing.
  7. Yes, still the same booking number. Did ask ta to check.
  8. That's what I thought. Reservations were made before the 11th but after the 11th the rate went down and the ta was able to make the change. The new confirmation, still showing original booking date has the new gratuity rate, which surprised me. We're still way ahead but didn’t expect the gratuity to be the new rate.
  9. Btw I did expect to prepay before sailing, but at the old rate. We're still ahead.
  10. In the past as long as I prepaid before sailing I got the old rate. As I said the the new cruise fare is considerably lower so I'm still way ahead of the game.
  11. We have 2 cruises booked before the new gratuities were to go into effect. The cruises are for next summer and the original confirmations show the old gratuity rate. The ta was just able to get a lower rate for each cruise, $1000 for one and $500 for the other. Obviously significant drops so maybe I shouldn't complain but the new confirmations show the new gratuity about. Surprised because I thought old rate would continue, but I guess I was wrong. Not happy but still ahead. What's everyone else's experience? Thanks.
  12. Yes, know that. Still I expected Royal would've reserved slots.
  13. Hoping for something before. Need to move a deposit sooner than that.
  14. I don't see any Royal cruises scheduled into King's Wharf in 2025 except for the Brilliance for one dsy in April 2025. NCL has lots of stops scheduled. Any ideas?
  15. Traditional dining. If you can't do it in advance do it as soon as you board. Find out where the head waiter is dealing with changes and go there. I'm allergic to fish and worry about food, like French fries, being fried in oil that fish. Head waiter always worked with me the night before. He and waiter always made sure I was happy.
  16. It's what we've done in the past without a problem. Usually do it a few weeks before we sail.
  17. Only book at least a window. Want to know what the weather is. We're on that cruise and have a balcony. The only time we had an inside had to send dh out to check the weather before I dressed. That was a long time ago.
  18. There are 2 Masters assigned to a ship and that they rotate. When one is onboard the other is home. They rotate.
  19. Yes but not buying for this cruise. All we'll need for this one is 2 days extra. We'll share what we have.
  20. Yes I know we each get 2 days and will share. Just hoping for some extra!
  21. I think I know the answer but wanted to check. We're on the Navigator next summer with our granddaughter. Dh and I are both D+. Granddaughter isn't. Any chance we get free wifi because we're in Grand suite. I don't think so but thought I'd ask. Thanks.
