No, don't recall the book. We were sailing out of San Juan the others were not all Spanish speaking. Thankfully dh was able to communicate with everyone. No minyan but ok.

Om a cruise in Australia we asked head waiter to ask the baker to make us Hamentaschen for Purim. They were delicious!

We're normally in synagogue for the holidays but managed to unknowingly book a cruise that was on 1st day of Rosh Hashanah. There was no rabbi but services were self-led. They provided prayer books, challah, and wine.sinc3 it was a TA we had met some the other attendees at Friday night services. Enjoy the tour. We did it years ago. Lunch was nice. I know I have a picture somewhere of dh with hands on both teutonic plates. We went to see the geysers also. Can't remember what else. Probably 10 years ago. Back in Iceland in August for the TA. 3rd trip to Iceland. Beautiful scenery and nice people.

I thought you said you were within final payment. That's usually 90-120 days, not 6 months. Or can you pay over 6 months with affirm even if cruise has already sailed?

We've gotten the compass in the evening even when we have morning service. Never a problem.

It's been 6 yrs since Iceland and Greenland. On Serenade I think. 1 new port for each when we're on the Jewel TA in August. For Aykeuri and Reykjavik we'll wander. Haven't decided much else. Relaxing by the pool in Hilton Head, SC right now.

On our 2 Radiance cruises in September/October we got the paper compass. No problem. We have morning service but it was left for us each evening.

We board the Jewel on Aug 10th for the Norway Arctic Circle cruise and then will stay onboard for the TA. Loving your review. Sailed the Jewel to Amsterdam in 2022. Looking forward to sailing her again.

I think you've got the wrong ship. This board is the Serenade. Twangster is on the Jewel.

It might be affected by the number of passengers already assigned to that muster station. I've heard that can affect the number of passengers already assigned.

I think you said you booked a suite. I may be wrong but that shjp may have Coastal Kitchen for suite passengers. It's included as a free option. I haven't sailed a suite on a ship with that option so don't know much about it but sure someone else can help.

We've been to ports in the 3rd choice and liked them. The other 2 seem to have more sailing time. But your decision. Which date works best?
