  1. Thankfully haven't needed to file a claim. It's because of the what ifs that we buy insurance for all types of things. The annual policy even covers us in the states, anything more than 100 miles from home.
  2. Looked good but dh doesn't usually eat meat when we travel as we keep kosher at home. No problem as there's plenty to eat on board.
  3. The issue isn't the deposit but the lower than usual fare for the cabin. For our GS2bdrm we paid less than the fare for a spacious js. The next day they upped the fare.
  4. Thanks. Enjoying your review. We're doing the eb transit in October also on Radiance. We love this class.
  5. Where is this? I begged and got a printed sheet on a cruise last year. Think it was on Anthem TA.
  6. Yes, we used the lounge on 13. Despite what the D concierge said we expanded to to Viking Crown. She couldn't stop us! There's a sliding door between the 2 spaces. We opened it and the bartenders used it also.
  7. Actually not always. Booked GS2bdrm on Navigator for 7 nt in July 2024. Taking our granddaughter. Only asked us for $750 total for the 3 of us. Of course that's the cruise where they mis-priced suites at less than balcony. I booked this right after it came out. Paid deposit next day but expected a call that they made a mistake. It's been about 2 months and haven't heard anything. Will see.
  8. Hi. We're on the eb transit in October and the 8nt coastal cruise from Vancouver first. My app fir the 1st cruise says Diamond lounge is on Deck 4. When you click on show on Deck plans it takes you to deck 4 cabins. When we were on Jewel TA in April, with lots of D, D+, and Pinns on board, we used D lounge on Deck 13 and extended into Viking Crown lounge. Could you check on where they have D lounge on your cruise? The app says Deck 13, which seems right but you never know. Thanks.
  9. We have an annual policy through Allianz, EA+ and usually something through Royal/cruise line. Also our Medicare policy will reimburse for some medical outside the country. I know, over insured.
  10. We have Verizon phone service. Put phone in airplane mode, wifi and no problem using Royal's app. You don't need to buy wifi pkg if you're only using the app. I have the $10 daily plan (or $5 in Canada) if I'm only going to need my phone a few times but when we were in Australia and New Zealand for 7 weeks I used the monthly international pass. There are other options. Check with Verizon.
  11. When I was working and we (no one did) didn't have smartphones I would call Royal and get the direct phone number and fax for the ship. Not an 800 number so would've been pricey. It was mainly for my office. Never needed it. Don't know if they still give it out. After saying this I would follow the previous poster and get a wifi package. You would then be fully accessible. Whatever you do, enjoy your trip.
  12. Stopped downloading a picture as the one I used for years they told me is too big so now I let them take one at the pier. Just takes a few seconds.
  13. 4 yrs ago parked at Tampa for a Brilliance cruise. I think I prepaid and it was valet. Really easy to drop off and pickup. Those who didn't do what I did were waiting longer to drop off or pickup. Don't recall cost.
  14. Enjoy your trip. Just noticed you live in Pittsfield. We lived there for 14 years, '83-'97 on Mountain Dr.
  15. I queried Royal on their website and this is what it said for leaving from US. Leaving from other countries, such as in Asia, it is 18. Long past the age issue and granddaughter is still too young.
