  1. I'm at work so I can't now. I spent lunch and part of activity time on the phone with them the first time. (I'm a teacher)
  2. I called customer service today and was pleasantly surprised to get my call answered right away. I called because I got status matched and I wanted my Voyager's Club number to be added to our cruise. The lady was very pleasant and was happy to do so and even said she would apply my discount. I ended up being on the phone 30 minutes but was happy it seemed to go so smoothly. She sent me new email, I thanked her and said goodbye. I was wondering why everyone was so negative about their customer service. Then I pulled up the new invoice. The OBC was there, and for the correct amount. However, it also looks like I was charged for the OBC. 😒Looking at the app, it says I haven't purchased any items. Do you think they are going to charge me for the OBC I was "given" today for my "discount"?
  3. Thank you, but that picture was taken 8 years ago on the Oasis of the Seas! I guess I should update it at some point. As I've mentioned, we also have a Celebrity suite booked next summer for our 30th anniversary...see not so young! lol (We are in our 50's)0
  4. Good to hear! Our cruise next month will be our first real suite experience. Hope we love the yacht club as much as you. Not sure ours will be as good as yours, because we just booked a deluxe suite, nothing fancy. We also have a sky suite booked with Celebrity next summer, for substantially more than MSC. I already know we love Celebrity, so I'm not concerned about being disappointed.
  5. Please report back after your cruise. Your butler didn't take your luggage upstairs? I would have reported this and possibly asked for a new one. Are you saying the yacht club offers the best suite experience, of those you've tried? I'm also a teacher so I know how limiting our cruising schedules are.
  6. At this point, my dh is saying he'd prefer just staying on the ship. I assume sargassum wouldn't be an issue in a lagoon..
  7. Maya Chan is closing the entire months of June and July. So disappointing because we were most excited for this port to return there.
  8. There doesn’t seem to be a lot of options at this port (especially with the one place we really wanted to go closed) and my dh wants to just stay in the ship to utilize the spa and pool while most people are off the ship. I assumed it would make the lagoon crowded and we don’t like crowds.
  9. Thanks. Will do, but I just found out we will be one of 4 ships there that day, I think we'll just stay on the ship.
  10. None of this is standard? I could always just bring some softsoap.
  11. So we booked a week ago, after final payment was due. Now I'm finding out I can status match for a 5% discount. It looks like we would only be silver. Is it worth it, will they actually give me the 5%? I don't care if it's in the form of OBC, we wouldn't have any trouble spending it. lol Edited to add: I went ahead and applied. How long does it take?
  12. I use a wash rag with makeup remover to wash my face at night. Will these be provided in the yacht club on Seaside or will I need to bring my own?
  13. Have these menus changed? If not, looks like my husband will love it and I’ll be perfectly content with the everyday options since I won’t eat most of their features entrees. I assume it would be possible to get a fresh garden salad every night for my appetizer. I see their Caesar salad has anchovy’s. 😔
  14. We decided to. We have two days at the private island. I’m perfectly happy on a beach so I’m sure I will like it. I would hope the yacht club food would be as good as the MDR with Celebrity. I’m not into all the fancy stuff. We will have filet or chicken on the menu as an option every night. That is perfect for me.
  15. Upon further investigation, the difference isn’t as much as I thought. I think it’s more like $4500, but we have $1350 in OBC with Celebrity. I don’t think that’s enough to jump ship and give up the retreat. We also got a corner aft suite on Celebrity.
  16. Right. We only have two sea days. We booked the NCL cruise with friends and backed out and switched to Celebrity because of the itinerary being in Italy. However, with the price difference we could add a nice land vacation in Italy after our cruise. Still thinking on it.
  17. It is! But it’s not an apples to apples comparison. We booked a sunset sky suite with Celebrity and a veranda with NCL. We only booked the suite because we will be celebrating our 30th anniversary and wanted to make it special. Both are 9 days. Celebrity is Barcelona to Rome and NCL is Athens to Venice. At the end we would do Italy (top of my bucket list) by land.
  18. We will be in Costa Maya next month. I was so disappointed to find out Maya Chan will be closed. Dh said he would be perfectly happy enjoying a much deserted ship and hit the YC pool or the spa. Is Seven Colors Lagoon worth the excursion? Looking at our ships excursion (MSC) there (we have a little onboard credit, but not enough) or Native choices Mayan Family and Seven Color Lagoon tour. Is Seven Colors Lagoon really spectacular? We already have three beach days so not sure we need a 4th unless this is worth it. I’m also a little curious about the Chaccohoben Ruins. We’ve seen the ruins Belize (those were really cool!) and I saw small ones in Cozumel that weren’t too far from the port. Are these so unique (especially from the ones in Belize) that it would be worth visiting? If you’ve done both, did you prefer the lagoon or the ruins? Or should we just enjoy having the ship to ourselves?
  19. This is one of their options we’re looking at. Thank you! This makes me hesitant. Dh wants to just stay on the ship. Maybe we will. We’ve been there some that seeing ruins other places. Anything special about these? Is Seven Colors Lagoon spectacular?
  20. Yes, I’m aware. That’s a possibility at other places we’ve been to before as well. While disappointing, I wouldn’t let it ruin my cruise! We are there two days too, so hopefully we could get there at some point.
