I did price them out for this summer, but was hoping it was so expensive because it’s not that far away. Is it really around 10k for two premium economy tickets? 😯 I kept seeing flights with foreign airlines. We have a Barclays American Airlines cc. My husband he will research a bit this weekend and see if the City card you mentioned is any better. We have a Barclays American Airlines cc. We only have 50,000 miles left on it. I’ve read that many cards will give you that if you spend so much within the first three months so I feel like we wouldn’t lose anything if we jumped to another card. Whatever we go with, we’ll probably just start putting everything on it to build miles as quickly as possible. It looks like 50,000 miles is only worth $750. We’ll never get enough to pay for two tickets, but maybe one of them. I will check out Points Guy. Thanks!

We’ll be flying from Charlotte to Europe in June 2024. We will be flying into Barcelona and out of either Rome or Venice. What credit card, if any, would we be able to get the most miles out of that fast? Or is it too late to earn enough to help offset cost. We don’t want to fly economy that far. How many miles would we need for premium economy? What about business class? Anyone know which airline would be our best option from Charlotte? Is it more expensive to fly from Venice to Charlotte than Rome to Charlotte? Our cruise ends in Rome but we may go to Venice after spending a few days in Rome, if the budget allows. We already have 50,000 miles with American but I’m not seeing flights there with them from Charlotte.

I'm still in the planning stages. I won't start purchasing anything, except hotels, until we buy plane tickets.

We were very fortunate on our last cruise. They had several aqua rooms left shortly before our sailing so we were able to upgrade from Concierge class for a little under $200. We loved Blu! However, I wouldn't pay a lot more for it, especially since we don't use the spa.

I booked one for June, 2024 last month while on the Reflection so our deposit was only $200. We booked our first suite, so I don't see us eating dinner at the buffet and we never order room service.

I would rather get to enjoy an area or two than go quickly from place to place. I certainly want to try some delicious french pastries!

When I ordered filet and lobster in Blu last month I was told they could only bring me one of them at a time and asked which I wanted first.

Do most people climb the tower? I was just planning on getting pics outside. Our tour company said if we want to go inside anything there we have to buy the tickets. Are there any tickets we should purchase?

That would have been nice if we were on the same cruise! I'm looking at a Celebrity excursion, Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast. It starts in a coach, then a private boat cruise, followed by a walk around town with a guide and lunch. Thank you! While I think Pompeii would be cool to see, we are doing so much history stuff on this trip that I'm thinking of something totally different here, like the Amalfi Coast.

We decided to do the wine tour day 1 in Florence. We are hiring Rome In Limo to take us to Pisa, Lucca and a Winery. We will go to Florence day 2, or vise versa. I greatly appreciate all the help everyone has provided!

We will probably take a nap and go out for a late dinner or just grab a snack and go to bed early. Besides, after sitting on a plane all day, it will feel good to walk around a bit and let someone show us around and enjoy some local food and wine. I don't want to walk around Las Ramblas by ourselves. I've read too many stories about robberies and pickpockets. If we're up to it, we could always see something before we get on the ship Thursday, although I'm always excited to get onboard. I believe we're seeing one of Gaudi's houses on the tour. We could possibly do the museum Tuesday or Thursday, depending on location. I have no idea where any of this is in relation to Hotel Jazz, although I could use maps to find out.

Oops! I wish. We actually paid $10,500. I don’t know why I thought it was $8,500. I always have to cruise during peak season when things are expensive. It would have been nearly $15,000 if we would have went with the new ships, I think it was the Beyond.

In my opinion no, but I didn’t care for the wines in the premium package either.

I’d take a partial view veranda over an inside any day! No idea why they would so that. I wonder if it’s another pricing mistake.

We’re going to Fattoria al Dotto. I chose it myself based on Trip Advisor photos and reviews. I’m sure we will go to Florence day 2, haven’t decided how yet. I don’t think we’re going to stay in Florence. We will only be an hour from the port before we head back. We booked a suite on the cruise so it seems crazy not to take advantage of those suite amenities with us being that close to the ship. I’m super excited about this excursion! Not super excited to go back to work tomorrow after more than 2 weeks off though. 🤪

Depends on when you sail and which ship too. We paid $8,500 for 9 nights in a SSS on the Equinox, for June 2024.
