In researching the travel insurance offered to us for the cruise ended the day the cruise ended, and did not start until the cruise began. Thus the day we were to arrive before the cruise, and two days post cruise which we intended to stay would not have provided us any insurance. The travel agent was under the belief that those days were covered. I read the fine print in the policy and called the insurance company twice, speaking to two different agents, that they would not extend the policy in either direction. Our airfare was purchased direct and not a part of the package from the travel agent. Fortunately, we found a complete policy, and was actually several hundred dollars less, and had higher medical coverage as well. Word of caution, just because your travel agent says your covered, investigate and read the fine print.
