Cool Cruiser (2/15)

I always bring a power bar for all the devices for hotel stays. We went on a long vacation that happened to include a short cruise and I never even thought about the power bar. They took it and left me a ticket. I thought for sure that thing was gone, but there it was at the end of the cruise waiting for me! We were not in any hurry to get off the boat so I was one of the last few off the ship, but there were a lot of items still there. I think the biggest issue is remembering to go pick it up!

I am curious about this as well. We are looking at a December cruise and I was going to wait until we are onboard in July to book, thinking there would be a better deal to do it there.

Hello Everyone I am heading on my second RC cruise this summer (did a short one to test the waters last summer) and I didn't realize for some cruises on RC you made reservations for the shows. I came across it here and then set an alert. Sure enough - I did not receive any communication from RC but the booking opened up on the app and I happened to be looking. Thank you Cruise Critic. You always learn something here!

It seems less crowded? Is this a smaller ship? I don't know this one. -

Oh I really hope you survive Air Canada. They are horrible! -
Thanks for the Live Sid- I don't think we will ever cruise Virgin, but I like your Live's so much I always follow them! We had to make an unexpected drive to Miami due to plane cancelations in December so I never did get to see that airport! Good luck with your travels home. I hope you are not delayed too much!

So I just got caught up - great Live!! Thank you so much for doing it. I am very intrigued by the owner's box in Playmakers! Seems like a great deal during football season when the place is packed! We have only been on RC in the summer (Carnival during NFL time), so I do recall Playmakers ever being that packed!

New global legal terms and conditions

I thought it had something to do with us being Canadian? It was referring to our country of origin and that there were changes. So odd. Agreed just tell us what the changes are - if just so people won't read it. -

Is Johnny Rockets ever free for any meal? I have read conflicting messages about this. -
Diamond+ on RCCL, First Carnival Cruise

Great post and I have to agree. We are yearly - or every other year cruiser (Live in Canada so its a bigger commitment!) I have cruised both lines and really do not have loyalty to either. I do not cruise enough for "status" to ever become a deciding factor. For me and my family it is more dates (we often cannot be flexible), and ports. We find the crowds to be very similar - around the pool bar it is louder and more of a party atmosphere - in other areas not at all. We have never seen any type of fights - - however this past New Years on the Celebration we thought there might be a riot!!! I do not know how Carnival didn't realize that the National Football Semi-Finals would be a highly demanded viewing option on the ship, but somehow they missed it. So when a crowd of about 100 angry football fans had no game showing in the sports lounge it got ugly! Carnival was quick to make some phone calls and make it happen! We were cheering for Michigan - but it was the rowdy Georgia fans (who weren't even playing in the first game but knew it meant theirs wouldn't be showing either!) who made it happen. Guest services is right beside the sports bar on the Celebration, so there were some pretty high-ups that were on the scene! It was fun (and never felt unsafe) to watch US college football fans get what they wanted! I am back on RCL this summer, and it is the first time I have cruised this close together. I am eager to try a new ship for us the Wonder. -
Reviews of Beachside Hotel & Suites, Cocoa Beach?
LindyWebb replied to georgiapeach84's topic in Florida Departures
We stayed there last summer. Very friendly staff - gave us lots of information about the area - food options - Ron Jon coupons. The room itself is very much a 2 or 3 star motel. You are not getting anything fancy - but was close to beach - had large kitchenette space - big room. We took an uber everywhere so I cannot comment on shuttle costs. We stayed there post cruise only. I would stay there again if I was doing the same sort of beach/cruise trip.
