Port side Julia. The solo gathering if they have one is generally at 5:00 Starboard. That’s why I choose 4:30 and Port side. -

Welcome aboard Stickman! Several cruise critic members are on board. I suggest a meet and greet. Say February 25. A sea day and a Sunday. Say 4:30 at Palm Court? That would be prior to music. Dwight -
The captain, the hotel manager, the cruise director, the doctor and one of the future cruise bookers. I believe that is the complete list.

Throughout this process, we will maintain an ongoing conversation with our guests to ensure their preferences are considered and addressed. I presented this quote from Crystal’s January press release and asked for a show of hands of those who had been contacted by Crystal. No one raised a hand….

Meeting concluded and NONE of the options Keith referenced were presented. One questioner seeking options was told to talk to his agent…..

I am on the world cruise on Serenity. I have received none of the options Keith mentions. Communication has been woeful throughout this process. Perhaps these “options” will be revealed at the session onboard in 30 minutes. Dwight

Disappointed to lose all of the Mediterranean ports.

Rob, my cousin and his wife escorted me around the sights, then we returned to the ship for dinner at Umi Uma. A great day! They received the notice on their phones about the earthquake while we were transiting waters around the Arizona memorial. We didn’t feel a thing. -

Random thoughts: Seas are now mercifully calm. Great to get outside! A small group of us closed down the Avenue last night. Really enjoying Neal Fullerton. Tonight James Fox and dancers in the Galaxy. A must see, even though I’ve seen it before. Still waiting for a return of the late night chicken nuggets Rob introduced me to. Anticipation…. Dwight -
Ditto for those of us on Serenity. Although Whipsnade and others on Symphony will surely hear of changes before us.

Ha, I wish! The ceiling damage was in the hallway, no damage in the room. Repair crew showed up in minutes and repaired the damage within a few hours. Dwight -

A quick check of entertainment venues at 9:00 to 9:20 last night: Dancing in Stardust, moved from Palm Court due to waves: three women dancing, four dance hosts. Avenue with Neil playing: six. Cove: six. Billy Joel show cancelled again, don’t know how many attended replacement show of violinist at 9:30. -

Rough seas continue! I had to get up several times during the night to reposition glass ware. When they touched they emitted a sound much like a telephone ringing. And just now I was knocked against a wall outside my room…not really very hard….and six foot section of the ceiling , electrical wires, etc. collapsed. I and the room stewardess escaped without damage. -

A man just fell outside of Waterside and received a bloody forehead and a cut on his arm. I think he will be all right but the crew has put him in a wheelchair and are taking him to the medical center. Still rocking and rolling here… -

Thanks Rob! You set an example I cannot match! -
Single cabins are great for one person. Plenty of room even on a world cruise. None on Serenity are next to laundries, etc. no promos needed as the supplement is very small. But they are very few in number …14 on Serenity…and all are far forward and subject to exaggerated movement in rough seas like we are experiencing now. Dwight

Rough seas yesterday! Still rough this morning. We were told today would be better. I am in one of the forward solo rooms. I had to escape to the Cove to be able to focus on my iPad and write this. Best wishes to those in California dealing with this weather. Dwight

Stockman…sorry, I don’t have Rob’s computer skills. Forgot to mention…my room stewardess is new to Crystal and was being trained as I boarded. I thought the worst, but she is now one of the best I’ve had. Just like Rob, I head down for breakfast and when I return room is spotless. I told her to skip the evening service as I don’t need that. Being on deck seven, I have a “ junior” butler who I’m not sure what all he does but like Rob’ s butler seems to reside in the hallway. Remember all of Rob’s posts of the snack trays? On deck seven we get a small dish of chips and pretzels. I told my butler to skip that delivery. Laundry is now included for world cruisers. I thought “ I don’t need that”. Now…well…I still don’t need it, but now I want it. Put your laundry in a sack and it arrives in two days neatly folded or on hangers. -

A good balanced review. To add: 2. Waterside is greatly improved from years ago. Agree on the quality. I have not had the issues with service that Rob experienced. I generally enter around 6:30. There is always a line at 6:00. and I am baffled as to why people consistently choose to wait in said line. 4. Totally agree. 8. Agree, the Avenue is too loud. Maybe ok if you are alone and like loud music. Definitely difficult if not impossible to have a conversation. 10. Agree with everything Rob said. 13. Agree about the front desk. Have not used the concierge. 14. OO is an improvement over Prego in my opinion. Atmosphere is excellent. But I’m not sure it is any better than Waterside in food quality. No lasagna?? Rob, will miss you and your posts. Safe travels!
