Regular chocolate cake, and NOT that wretched WCMC that so many rave about.
I agree! The warm chocolate melting cake reminds me of something created in a children's Easy Bake Oven...

It's been almost 7 long years since my last cruise! I'm going to introduce my soon to be husband to the "addiction" but am unsure how to book. Do I just book under what my name will be or what it currently is? I know no changes are allowed after booking but I really don't want to book with my current name!
I agree with all of the above members. Best advice 👍

What? Pork belly is basically big pieces of bacon? They should call it that. We both assumed it was like organ meat. 😂. He loves bacon.

I just found out this exists. Im not vegan but I do not eat beef, has anyone tried and if so how is it? Curious to know if they use a certain brand or if its their own.

They are not store bought garden burgers. The vegetarian burger on Carnival is a (Black Bean Burger). More specifically, the plant-based burgers are made from whole and mashed black beans, brown rice, roasted pumpkin, cauliflower, and mushrooms, tofu, onion, and savory spices. And as the others have stated, can be found at the deli.

I couldn't find the info on Carnival's website.
Could someone tell me the cut-off time for boarding the Carnival Victory from Miami with a 4 P.M. departure?
The Department Of Homeland Security requires Carnival to submit their final departure manifest 60 minutes prior to departure. I would certainly embark prior to that.

We are sailing on the Dream with my husband's office in under two weeks...
I think Feb 28th or 29th.
There's a four day Carnival Dream sailing February 27th to March 2nd.

I am looking at booking a Havana interior on Mardi Gras and see there are several square shaped interior cabins (#8295) and I am wondering what these cabins will be like. Roomier than traditional interior?Anyone have any thoughts/information on this?
2 hours ago, Mawelch said:We have 8288 booked for Feb. 2021. It is a square cabin also. Was wondering the same thing
On Mardi Gras, a Havana interior is slightly smaller, 158 square feet. On other ships Havana interiors are 185 square feet.

Any updates at what the upgrade will be on the Carnival Miracle? I know she will getting Guy’s and the blue Iguana.
Other than Guy's Burger Joint and Blue Iguana Cantina that you mentioned, the Miracle will also be getting Carnival's WaterWorks, Red Frog Rum Bar, and the Blue Iguana Cantina Bar.
Also, Miracle will receive the typical routine hotel maintenance, cosmetic enhancements such as new carpeting, tile work, new furniture and new fabrics in lounges and public areas. Whirlpool tubs in all suites will be replaced with a standard tub. And some things have yet to be announced.

The last time we took a cruise, we were on the Sunshine & the ballast went out one night (Halloween Cruise 2018) & we tipped so far I nearly was flung out of our room onto the balcony & we were very close to sinking, our side of the ship going into the water.
The accident occurred during a 5-day Eastern Caribbean cruise (Oct 28 - Nov 2nd 2018) roundtrip from Port Canaveral to Amber Cove and Grand Turk.
Due to a technical issue (fin stabilizer), the ship experienced severe listing, resulting in terrified passengers and broken furniture. According to the Captain, stabilizers' malfunction was caused by an electrical switchboard issue.
You mentioned that you can't stop thinking of the worst. It clearly sounds as if you're looking for either reassurance or a way out after the ship listing scare you experienced. Do you have travel insurance???? You just made final payment yesterday. I'm not gonna beat around the bush, contact Carnival & start working on your refund now. Don't wait....

On our upcoming cruise on the Breeze, we have assigned early dining time. Which dining room is usually used for this? or could it be either? I notice that they have the Blush aft dining room and the Sapphire midship dining room. The Blush appeals to me more and hoping this is the one we will be using.
On Breeze, there is assigned seating 6pm and 8:15pm in both dining rooms. See below..

What!??!! Carnival can only perform spot repairs & urgent touch-ups and the rest of the painting has to wait until a ship is in dry dock??? Are you kidding me!

Any moisture or salt on the surface between coats needs to be removed before recoating. I could see where a delivery to one or two ships might have a production problem in the paint, or it was not stored properly, but for a fleetwide problem, I don't think its the paint, its the painter.

I've been searching around trying to find pictures of how the 3rd and 4th guests beds are accommodated, but haven't been able to find anything.
This is not a very clear photo, however here is a standard balcony cabin (you mentioned Pride, standard balcony) on Carnival Pride that sleeps four, that you can use for reference.

in the photos that I have seen of people's cove balconies, I have never seen a "door" or cover or whatever that could close off the balcony from the outside weather.
If warranted by weather, wind, rough seas, etc... crew will indeed close the storm door on a cove balcony.

Will someone please help me out? I'm trying to figure out when you have multiple rooms, is it 1 per room or everyone in the room?
We are doing the small gifts that you can put on the door.
1 hour ago, msshawn said:1 gift per room or per person in the room
Typically gift exchanges are 1 per stateroom and are conducted in a 'meet & greet' setting, usually organized by someone in your Roll Call for your sailing. Have you checked the roll call for your voyage here on Cruise Critic to see if someone already organized a meet & greet?? If they set a spending limit? Usually $10 gift/souviner. When is your sail date & ship?

Carnival Sunrise 5 days 2 ports Nassau - Amber Cove Sat-Thur
Best Overall Price Ship was totally redone in 2019
Carnival Sunshine 5 days 2 ports Princess Cays - Nassau Sat-Thur
Better Ports I think?
Carnival Magic 6 days 3 ports Amber Cove - Grand Turk- Half Moon Cay Sun- Sat
Bigger Ship more to do better Ports
Carnival Breeze 7 days 4 ports Grand Turk - San Juan - St. Thomas and Amber Cove Sat-Sat
Maybe cutting a little close with the travel time probably best itinerary

yeah I know they started calling them water shuttles... Just an old habit... 😁
You're not alone. I'll always think of them & refer to them as 'Tenders' instead of 'Water Shuttles'....
