The difference with this old guy was he wasn't late he had just decided he wasn't getting on the plane until almost 10am . We got to know them well as they were our neighbours in our villa garden ,he was a right character .His Mrs was telling us once he got an idea in his head that was it . She even managed to loose him getting off the plane on the way home .She was stood at the end of the air bridge off the plane and asked us if we knew where he had got to ?

The one that always makes me smile is when me and Mrs K were sat on a plane at Manchester. It was due to take off at 10am ? I noticed the cabin crew counting all the passengers only to find there was two missing ten minutes before take off. A few more minutes past and an airport worker brought this old couple onboard ,Mrs K had noted they had been stood about two behind us in the boarding queue as he was a bit loud. The man took one look down the plane and greeted us all "Morning everyone " to the sighs and groans of some of the passengers . "Where have you been ,please hurry and take your seat ,we're waiting to take off ",said an air hostess. He was having none of it .."This plane goes at ten and it's only four minutes to ",he complained . Needless to say we never made the 10am push back 😐

I know what you mean Harry ,I get very odd looks when I tell people that due to my interest in farm animals ,after giving it some thought I have decided to buy myself A pig pen .☺️ Actually it has been one of my better buys as it can write underwater, upside down , in space and lots of other wonderful words

Sometimes if you watch the ships on YouTube live at Southampton .I have heard the captains of lets say Ventura saying they will be delayed for some reason for 20 minutes or so . The captain of princess Sky hears this on his radio offers to swap slots for sail away as he has everyone onboard and would be sat around 30 mins waiting anyway .

Well we do like to keep abreast of things 😁

We have been on a ship where several ships are in port and as the captain said .. "everyone is on board ,so we will drop our lines and set sail earlier than planned " Now if they had two passengers missing I would expect it reasonable to try and contact them. For all we know they could be sat in the buffet having a cuppa, as others have said, this has happened before .

I love people who feed the birds ,I once watched a film where a old man was feeding the birds ,those vultures don't mess about do they 😙 Funny how our lives are entwined with animals ,I even dream about them ,only last night I dreamt I was horse ...That's four nights on the trot !😉 As for talking woodpeckers I can well believe it ,I once had a snail knock on our door late at night, which annoyed me, so I picked the little guy up and threw him as far as I could . Good morning everyone it's a sunny 5.c this morning . I think we can declare summer as over and if I was in any doubt our TV reassured me as the adverts played away .I was drawn to the sound of Roy Wood singing that he wishes it could be Christmas everyday ! Well at least a shop called Very wishes it to be so.. Keep safe and wrap up warm guys .

I could go down town go around the pubs and at chucking out time I would sup up and simply make my own way home .We didn't need 20 police and bouncers and riot vans to make sure we did go home . You could not pay me to go down town at night these days let alone use the pubs . So sad how things have turned out .😐

Yep we had some stupid sayings from far and wide, not just Yorkshire.😊 "Come here and I'll give you a pasting the you'll wish you had never been born !" Memories weren't all that good either.. "What have I just told you" or even ... "Who do you think you are ? " We didn't need travel agents back then as we were told .."They will knock us into the middle of next week"😙 We were very clean though as we were told to "Wipe that smile off your face" and "what's with the dirty look ? " The list goes on but we all knew what they meant .😊

I certainly do , that would be back in the days when I wasn't good or old . The Good Old Days You don't appreciate a lot of stuff in school until you get older. Little things like being spanked almost every other day by a middle-aged woman: Stuff some would pay good money for in later life, I guess. Lino , it was all over the place in our house, does anyone still use this stuff ? I remember it made great firelighters when we finally got rid of the stuff. It was on par with Izal toilet roll. No one liked that either and personally did prefer the News of the world . I'm surprised it never caught on and we had papers and magazines actually printed on loo rolls, but we have our mobiles we can read now. Toilet seats were freezing back then, used to hate being the first one of the day using it . When we do decide to put our heating on it will be a push of a button , back in the day trying to get the coal fire going could be fun (Not) .Getting the draw tray on the go or down on your hands and knees puffing away trying to bring life to the fire. Eventually you would win but you would be left stinking of smoke and now waiting for the hot water to warm up. But as everyone from that era will tell you it was better back then Have a good day everyone and keep warm .

That's what we do and open all the doors within the house and when the clouds gather I then go around house closing all the doors to keep the heat in . I can still hear in the back of my mind my Dad saying .." Nah then put wood back in hole " and that was back when it was two and half farthings for a bucket of coal😊

Morning all 😊 I'm glad some of you are getting your Christmas slots for shopping sorted . We are registered with Morrisons and use the priority pass .Morrisons will invite us to choose a slot just before they release the dates which will be around 15th of next month . I hate going around proper shops, the Mrs said "don't forget to put ketchup on the shopping list before you set off " .Some use that was, I could hardly read it. Once at the check out The young shop assistant asked me "if I wanna box for my groceries?" I told her only if she didn't hit me too hard, and asked if I could just pay by card instead.😉 Back in my younger days you could go to the store with fiver and come back with enough groceries to last you a week. Sad to say not now, they have security cameras all over . When I step out of the supermarket I usually end up get accosted by our local drunks who hang about there and I can tell you they are getting a bit militant .They all set off shouting at me..... "What do we want ? ..A bottle of Martini.. When do we want it ? Anytime, any place anywhere!" Give me online shopping any day ,its far easier. 😊 Hope you all have a wonderful day, take care .
