  1. Oh, Graham, I'm so sorry for Sarah that the injections didn't help too much. Is she still in great pain? What are the other options, beside a risky operation? Best wishes to her, xx
  2. Well, may be the "sting" of 50$ for parking will be easier when split in 3 😉 DH found driving in all the 4 islands we visited during our cruise very easy and enjoyable, and for me, a huge surprise to find clean restrooms in the "middle of nowhere". @Arzeena When my cousin and her DH were asleep in the back seats [including the travel pillows...], he joked that all he's missing is a formal driver cap ☹️
  3. Can you try to find a hotel with free parking? My cousin and her DH "gifted" us a cruise to Hawaii [basically, they needed a driver and a trip planner 😉], and stayed at Sheraton Princess at Waikiki beach. Free parking was included in the rate. We arrived after them, stayed at Hyatt Place and used the Sheraton's parking for the car we rented for all of us. For the cruise, this company was recommended on these boards, and we were very happy with them, since no prepayment was needed. A car was waiting for us in every port, very reasonable rates too. https://www.discounthawaiicarrental.com/en-us/
  4. @Ocean Boy, @h20skibum As u can see, I was the only "brave" to try the bumper cars, the Ifly and the North Star... DH just took the pics....😉
  5. Wait until your shoulder will be 100%. It is a huge air pressure. I enjoyed it, launched myself in the air just right, but it was a very loooong minute. Nice for about 20 seconds, but never again. Same with the bumper cars, once was enough, damage to your back bones guaranteed....
  6. Since DH is battling a hopeless fight against weight gaining and is eating huge amounts of "leaves" 😁 [to the point of me thinking in no time at all he'll start "muuu-ing"], I'm very familiar with all the "versions" 😉. I, OTOH, do not like LEAVES. Of any kind. Period. Which reminds me of a funny episode I had some 20 years ago, when DH had some soon to expire miles. I used them to travel business class to visit my cousin in Germany, found myself alone in the BC cabin with 2 very eager to please FAs. The moment the time to lunch arrived, they proudly placed a huge bowl of green leaves in front of me. I flicked an eye on it, and calmly continued to read my book... After a few mins they appeared, worried: "You don't like our salad??" I replied: "I'm not a 'salad person' ".... When I saw that she doesn't seem to understand my meaning, I repeated it in French. She got it. Took the "offending" bowl from me, but couldn't stop giggling... "She's not a salad person, never heard it before, this from a woman who looks in great shape... 😁" Eventually, a nice steak made its appearance, and THEN I told them: "Now you're talking 😉"
  7. Hubby being a big eater.... I should know 😉 Arugula, or Roquette, is known by several other names, including Rocket, Garden Rocket, Rucola, Rugola, and Rocket Salad. Roquette is a leafy vegetable with a peppery, spicy taste. It is most commonly used for salad greens, or cooked like spinach. It is also used it in soups, pastas and pestos.
  8. @ReneeFLL Renee, the weather doesn't look too promising for Mike's one day visit to Tel Aviv. The "winter" is back 😢 Should he need a "local connection", Bella's dad and Ken from ourusualbeach have my email. I can be also reached by whatsapp. I can also send you details via messenger of the book of face, since John's Bella is a mutual friend. Bon voyage to Mike 🌷
  9. Speaking of beautiful, Greg, a very long time we didn't see your own "pride and joy" -- C & L 😘 Any new pics/videos?
  10. @Luckynana Thank you, Maryann. They're our "pride and joy", as the "cousins" across the Pond say... and "touch wood" too 😘 Wishing you and Jim a wonderful cruise. [ I've kind of got lost between all the cruises lately. Slinking away in shame, as Bonnie says @BonTexasNY]
  11. Found another one -- 7 Days Scandinavia & Fjords Holland America Line • Rotterdam Amsterdam, Eidfjord, Hardangerfjord, Alesund, Geiranger, Geirangerfjord, Bergen, Amsterdam 1 departure dates: Jul 15 2023 and there are some nice and comprehensive itineraries of 14 days with HAL.
  12. Friends of mine are booked on this itinerary, upon my recommendation -- 7 Days Scandinavia & Fjords Holland America Line • Nieuw Statendam Copenhagen, Eidfjord, Hardangerfjord, Alesund, Geiranger, Geirangerfjord, Bergen, Copenhagen 1 departure dates: Jul 26 2023 There is also an Apex cruise out of Southampton on July 31st, 2023 with an excellent itinerary, but, as for now, it's completely sold out....
  13. @ReneeFLL Renee, I've "asked around" and was told to check first with Guided Tours Israel, since they're a company "geared towards people who have to 'cram' a lot in a single port day" 😉 GTI also gets 5* reviews in TripAdvisor.
  14. I couldn't find anything about "Ben Gurion".... might be a mistake, it's the name of our international airport [like JFK...]. Via Sabra gets rave reviews in TripAdvisor -- https://viasabra.com/
  15. Would it be a Saturday or a "regular" day during the week? The first thing that comes to my mind, and to DH's as well, is Jerusalem.... If he doesn't want to travel (being in a very short layover?) -- then Old Jaffa, with its picturesque lanes and art galleries, as well as the Flea Market. A very good museum -- the Tel Aviv one. This is one of the most recommended companies by cruisers who toured Israel -- Guided Tours Israel https://www.guidedtoursisrael.com/ Pls. let me know his preferences, and I'll come back with more options. Glad for him to have the opportunity to visit 😘
