  1. Chicken schnitzel is the only way to go 😁 Pork is not "kosher", therefore, only specialized shops carry it 😉 Veal is very expensive.... If I'll dare to suggest it, she'll give me "the LOOK".... got'ta thread carefully with DILs....☹️
  2. Thanks, aussie. Yes, they like their grandpapa food, but also my chocolate fudge cake 🤪 A few months ago, I hinted to my DIL that I'd very much like the grandsons to know to swim before our vacation with them next week, and offering to foot the bill, even if the swimming lessons will be private and not within a group.... Let's just say that my DIL is very "laid-back".... and no swimming lessons were taken.... The "older" one is with a basketball group and he's doing quite well. The little one also participated at the beginning in those lessons, but he's more of a DIY "personality", and, while every one was shooting balls, he was playing football in the corner.... until the coach declared that "enough is enough" 😁
  3. Thanks, Sue. They're a lot of fun, and they're full of energy......... The "oldest" (6 years) will start 1st grade (?) school Sept. 1st, and the youngest -- kindergarten at the same date. Absolutely love your boat.
  4. No more summer day camps in the 2nd half of August.... We got the grandsons for a sleep over.... After the "regulation" schnitzel with fries DH prepared for lunch, we decided to order some pizza... We have to buy them regular beds, but for now, DH put a "demarcation line" in the middle of our son's old one... They brought with them a lot of toys.
  5. How many Israelis are active on CC, beside yours truly? The vast majority of those booked on a cruise sailing and returning to Haifa are not on CC.
  6. Both Diamond Head and Nu'uanu Pali are amazing. Lucky to have been to both. Thanks for the amazing pictures and for the fond memories.
  7. Ours also "failed" the 1st test... "Le bébé est sourd" [your baby is deaf] the nurses told me. And I, with the assurance of a first time mother, replied straight faced: "No way, my baby is perfect". He passed the 2nd test with flying colors 😁
  8. I live in Israel, and we're used to hot temperatures and high humidity.... We were on Acropolis [Beyond] June 20th. Negotiated a 25 Euro flat rate taxi to Acropolis right on the pier. We were there early [9 AM] and had "skip the line tickets". It was OPPRESSIVE hot. We're both fit, and as I mentioned, used to heat, but we struggled. All the walk is done in plain sunshine, climbing and "fighting the crowds".
  9. Since to this day I'm editing Ob/Gyn articles dealing with preeclampsia, splenic artery aneurism, tubal ectopic pregnancy and other "occurrences", my motto is -- Healthy mother + healthy baby == nothing short of a miracle.
  10. Positive thoughts are already crossing the pond. John, forgive me for being "thick".... is your daughter induced at 27 weeks? Or is she "at term"?
  11. I was sad too... I liked Kinsey very much. Also Robert B. Parker's Spenser 😢
  12. Beside being a bit larger on M-class, the location is better than Aqua, IMHO.
  13. K&V, have a wonderful cruise. Worried about John... it's not like him not posting at all. Pls. relay my best wishes to J&L 💐
  14. @Ocean Boy Thank you, "really", for putting me out of my misery... I've been racking my depleted brains trying to remember why deck 6 was also recommended 😕. NOW I know I've made a "mishmash" between "Boardwalk" and "Promenade"...... at least, let's agree that I was "close" 😉
  15. Hence my recommendation 😁 I hope she got one of those. There was another one on deck 8, but it was connected to another cabin....
  16. My bad. Wondering why I remember deck 6 being also recommended 😟 My 5G memory isn't what it used to be....😢
  17. It was Bob (Clarea) who recommended deck 8 for the proximity to CP 😉 and that's what we booked in Allure 😁 Second best, according to Bob, was deck 6 (Promenade deck).
