@TravelGirlinDallas Bethany, wishing your DH many happy returns 🌹 @Ocean Boy, We’re in Cyprus, in a hotel originally booked 3 years ago, to celebrate my DH’s 70 b’day (for May 2020… ). Made another attempt for August 2020… Now, 3rd time is actually a charm, since the grandkids are older and we’re looking forward to this trip, so much so that the little one refused to bath yesterday, saying: “I’ll bath in Cyprus” 😜 It was a long day of travel. First impression — the hotel looks amazing. We just checked in and went straight to dinner. As always, I have trouble posting from my mobile, so only the pics will come from there. @h20skibum, Mark, so glad to see your posting. I hope it takes a bit of all you have in mind right now. My thoughts are with you & Co.

On our way to the airport. First time we decided to take the train, but the train isn’t “build” for travel… no place for even trolleys. Luckily, it’s the middle of the day, plenty of “free” seats …

Busy days ahead of our first time vacation abroad with the grandsons.... Our in-laws are currently renovating and updating their old three stories house, and moved in with our son and DIL 😕 It means that our son prefers to travel to us and spend here his days working, while we get to have "quality time" with our grandsons. Tiring and rewarding at the same time. It also means that we have our in-laws for the WE lunch/dinner at our home. Today DH preferred to cook an easy meal, which didn't necessitate many side dishes -- a salad and meat lasagna, followed by water melon and the rest of my fudge chocolate cake from the previous WE...

Oy, Linda, I'm so very sorry to read that. Since both couples of my friends were refunded, I assumed everyone was refunded and so many refunds were the reason for bankruptcy. I therefore retract my recommendation of SAGA Travel.

It was the BEST roll call ever. @Jim_Iain -- so sorry about your cancelled stop tomorrow. Such a pity you don't get to enjoy another day in amazing Iceland. I'm glad we got to talk about our stops in Iceland. I went online to check on the tour company, SAGA Travel, which we used then with utmost satisfaction, and they went belly-up during the Covid "era". I'm happy to report that they're back in business, for all those who have Iceland in their future itinerary.

How are you "dealing" with being alone for 5 days? 😕

We were lucky enough to be with @MamaFej on this cruise, which we picked for the 2 overnights in Iceland. It was one of our best cruises, so much so that we recommended to friends to book the [almost] same cruise for June 2020 [no overnight in Akureyri...]. I told them that an overnight in Reykjavik is a "must" whereas one long day in Akureyri is enough. Personally, one of our tours there was just "meh".... One couple was booked for June and the other one for July 2020. Same tour operator like ours, which, when Covid stuck and had to refund the payments, went belly up...

I was hoping that the ice show will have a performance on the sea day, in the early afternoon....

Trying to provide as much as possible info for our friends, first time cruisers.... Could you pls. tell me about the shows (hours, how many times), especially the ice show (they are travelling with 3 daughters -- 3, 7 & 8 years old), and I think the ice show will appeal to them. Sorry for the off topic question -- I'm trying to help my friends, first time ever cruisers, with their Wonder OTS, Sept. 22nd. I thought I can book them reservations for the ice show (they travel with 3 under 10 years old girls). It seems that I cannot book any entertainment before boarding??? Thanks for your reply,
