  1. Thank you so much for taking the time to write such an enjoyable and detailed report. We were on board Beyond a few weeks ago, and our first stop was Katakolon. I'm a "researcher" and had the train to Olympia and its schedule duly noted... Moreover, on the train's site they mentioned that when ships are "in town", they add more trains to Olympia. The train was very appealing, air conditioned, nice views, and, for 10 Euro pp return was, on paper, a "steal" ๐Ÿ˜ I'm always a "Plan B type", and decided to research some more. I've found a bus to Olympia for the same price, and the hours fitted more on my plan. I'm so glad we opted for the bus, since, it turns out, "Plan A" was not feasible at all...
  2. Thank you, Mimi. My recovery is somewhat "crab-like"... two steps in the "right" direction, one "sideways".... I'm "hanging in there", with the help of gnocchi prepared for lunch ๐Ÿ˜‰ @jagsfan + 1 ๐Ÿ˜˜ @George C I think you meant this, and I'm 100% with you. + 1, @aussielozzie18
  3. At least 10 people (including myself, but not DH), have tested positive 3 days AFTER leaving the ship. And that's only from our roll call.
  4. There are cabins which hold 5 people, but you can't book them online, only by phone or with a TA. I have many friends who have 3 young kids, and they always book one cabin for the 5 of them.
  5. Agree with all the helpful comments above. May I recommend an amazing boat trip around Capri? It was a pleasure and we saw so much -- http://www.capriwhales.it/who-are-us/?lang=en
  6. Thank you for the heads up. I'm quite surprised it was locked, even though, indeed, some replies were nasty, but the vast majority were very heart warming. @Ocean Boy BTW, no reply to my email to corporate. Yes, the no "meeting" was disappointing, more so since she's continuing to show that people brought her the Trader's Joe snacks she asked for, and I KNOW that I had such a big part in this. I've asked cruisers in all the Beyond roll calls for May, June and July, as well as those in the other social site. I've answered their questions, kept track of who managed to buy them, wrote to "her" about them. There is a huge difference between asking for them in tik-tok, and me "targeting" the very people who in a short time will board your "boat"....
  7. Thank you for a very enjoyable review. I was riveted. I wish I had your positive attitude to take things in the stride ๐Ÿ˜•
  8. We've been to all these ports + PEI + Quebec. We don't do ship excursions, only in rare occasions. Acadia National Park (Bar Harbor) -- We wanted to see Cadillac Mountain and Jordan lake. We couldn't find one tour to both. Took the free "Island Explorer" bus for Jordan lake, and a thunder hole. The bus has frequent stops, and you can get on and off. Then, in the afternoon, we booked with "Ollie's trolley" a tour just for Cadillac Mountain. Between the 2 tours, we had a nice lobster roll at West Cafe. Portland - we went to the museum and just strolled around. Halifax -- we wanted very much to see Peggy Cove, but, at the same time understood that if it will rain, the place is slippery.... so we decided to book on arrival. Luckily, it was a nice day. Just at the pier there is a taxi station, with rates per hour (50$ or 50 CAD, in 2017). We took a taxi for 3 hours, which got us to Peggy Cove, we spent an hour taking pics and just wandering about, and then back at Halifax, our friends opted for the Fortress, and we -- for the botanical garden. I think that at St. John we just went to see the local market. We tend to go to local markets everywhere.
  9. But that's exactly my whole point: the F&B Manager was not aware...
  10. Sadly, I have nothing to offer... I've been swimming almost daily for the last 35 years, in chlorinated pools. Never had any rash. May be this week they've administered a very high dosage by mistake? We're also supposed to shower before entering the pool, so I assume any cream will be rinsed out??
  11. + enhanced b'fast menu. In our Beyond cruise, there were 2 concierges. They'll print boarding passes for you. In the last day of the cruise, I waited a long time after a gentlemen with a party of 6 people, asking the concierge to book his seats for his flight home. He wanted aisle, and window, and together, and she patiently moved his party around, until his was satisfied with the "results". He apologized for my long wait... In the first day, we couldn't figure out the "free wi-fi" perk and the "elite" perk. The concierge sorted it out for us, and, upon my request, arranged to switch between the two "perks" easily and economically.
  12. When you switch to the "Elite" account, the amount of minutes available is displayed. When we finished it, suddenly we had no connection to internet. No, there were no additional charges after the 90 mins. Between the "basic", "elite" and free wi-fi in this intensive itinerary (Med), we managed just OK...
  13. Hi, long time no "sea", Yes, we had 2 accounts [displayed one after another on the screen] -- "basic" and "elite", and we had to be very careful to log in and out every time we switched between them. You'll have to insist to have them available both....
  14. That was the link we used for registering (Beyond, June 13). Of course, it is not activated now, but before the cruise it was updated with every new member registering. https://www.celebritycruises.com/cruise-critic-connections Edit -- now, when it is posted, you can register.... โ˜น๏ธ
  15. We just got back from Beyond. Being Elite, each of us got the 90 minutes free. One IMPORTANT thing !! We had the "free wi-fi" included, whether we liked it or not. Turns out the "free" is very basic -- just enabling you to check emails and send whatsapp. NO pictures. I've voiced my disappointment [to the CC concierge] in the somewhat useless perk, and was told to use the 90 minutes for sending pictures. BUT, they wanted to start the 90 minutes immediately... I told them "until I'm back in my cabin, there goes 10 minutes". I was pleased to see that they've seen my point, and gave me the 2 options -- to switch between the "basic" and the "Elite". So, when I wanted to send pics, I logged out from the "basic", and then returned to it after sending the pics.
  16. Thank you for your kind words. I've already posted some pictures on "my" thread (Royal Caribbean boards), so I'll just attach a link to it. Since it's a huge thread, making it easier for you ๐Ÿ˜‰ Page 2522 - #63036 & 7 2529 - #63209 & 210 2533 - #63318 & 323 2549 - #63712 2553 - #63819 & 820
  17. @A&L_Ont Andrew, thinking of your mom ๐Ÿคž ๐Ÿ™ @MJSailors Thank you, Mary. My recovery is not quite as expected... it is "undulating"... not a linear track to full recovery. Most of the days I have the feeling of a very light fever, and sometimes -- a headache in the "background".... @sgmn Sue, I see that Molly is keeping a safe "social distancing" from the pup...๐Ÿ˜‰
  18. We also have friends like those... We've learned to tell them 7PM instead of 8.30PM, so they're always "on time" ๐Ÿ˜‰ I respect other's time and I'm always punctual, to the point that DH says: "again, we're the first couple to arrive".... It seems that everyone hates to be "the first one". I don't get it.... Someone should be the first, isn't it???
  19. We've traveled twice just to see the staterooms, and the crown jewels' expo. We love London. Period.๐Ÿงก Have seen all the "Crown" series. I think the first season, with The Queen as a young woman (Claire Foy) was the best.
  20. @jagsfan Dear Mimi, Happy belated birthday, may you enjoy lots and lots of wonderful years, in health and happiness, with all your dearest around you ๐ŸŒท
  21. Try to have as much as possible in PAPER. May be at the hotel they'll print it for you.
  22. It is enough that the results are on a pharmacy paper.
