Thank you so much for the wealth of info you're so graciously providing. It helps a lot. Here I was with X80 as plan A.... βΉοΈ

I've booked several hotels in Sydney, all with free cancelation. I kept an "eye" on rates (senior rates), and, slowly, but steadily, I began to cancel those which got reviews not meeting my "requirements". The winner was this one. Its main "asset" was that we could take the metro from the airport to Circular Quai, and walk from there to the hotel. Same when the cruise ended -- took the metro back to the airport and it was easy, cheap and quick. The terminal was 5 mins walk downhill. Excellent restaurant vis-a-vis the hotel - Ribs and Burger the Rocks. Moreover, by keeping abreast of rates, I "managed my reservation" and cancelled and immediately rebooked when they dropped. Saved lots of $$$ by doing this. Don't know, though, if you can "manage your reservation" under the new name.

I do, but AFTER the tours... After DH's "close encounter" with melanoma, we prefer to be earlier in places without shade, like Oia. -
Renee, we stayed at HI Old Sydney, now Rydges. The location was excellent, the hotel was clean and the staff very nice. Not luxurious. Location, location, location. I would stay there again. Located in the historic Rocks district, Rydges Sydney Harbor (formerly Holiday Inn Old Sydney) features a rooftop swimming pool offering views of Sydney

@sgmn, Sue, Taking into account this price, the uncertainty involved -- that is, until the "recruitment" is completed -- I decided to book the transfer offered by X, which includes also tickets for the cable car (at 6 Euro pp + 30 Euro pp the transfer = 72 Euro), and the priority tendering, for 55$ pp (110$). Last time we were in Santorini, we paid 25 Euro pp (2013), but waited INSIDE to boat until it was full, more than half an hour.... Not my cup of tea in Covid times, for sure. -
Jeanne, please accept my sincere condolences for your loss. Don will be thoroughly missed on these boards. I was faithfully following all his posts. May he RIP,

Excellent choice. Debbie & John ( @Sunshine3601 & @Ozark_Kid), I've looked into this itinerary (and Jewel's too), only from this point of view. I think that the stops in Iceland are very good and afford seeing the highlights of this amazing country if it will be your only visit there. The overnight in Reykjavik is perfect. Another plus - a stop in Norway to see a fjord π

I sure hope so for you too π€ and for us π The majority of the population is at least1 time boosted, and many over sixty, like us, 2X boosted. Starting tomorrow, no more PCR testing on entry. Some Jewish holidays in October. What are your dates for Haifa and Ashdod?

On Allure Now And I Got Covid So Now What?
dani negreanu replied to ReneeFLL's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Well, Renee, mystery finally solved... Ever since you gave me "credit" for being "eagle eyed", I was literally "scratching my head" looking at the orchid picture...."Is it the duck"? It doesn't seem worthy of the "eagle eyed" compliment [sorry yellow duck π] ... So what else is there?? The orchid?? Naahhh... Even Debbie's ( @Sunshine3601) clutch "hint" didn't help me... blaming my English, thinking car clutch / or "stealing" ["bedazzled" aka embezzlement...] a Royal clutch... It really didn't make any sense to me. A relieved sigh π
