Yeah, both wheels on the Emerald last week had the triple zero -- actually it's the Princess logo -- in addition to the single and double zeros.  I didn't play roulette as intended b/c it was rather disconcerting....as was the 6/5 blackjack game.

More troubling was trying to find a seat at either the 3-Card or WPT Texas Hold'em tables.  They probably should dump the Let it Ride table and replace it with one of the these more popular games.

If enough people would stop playing b/j due to poor odds perhaps we could get a fairer game. However would not expect that to happen.

endless winning? i won't hold my breath for that..

.i do know that with 3/2 bj and perfect basic strategy i can cut the house down to around .5% which i can live with if it results in some free/reduced cruise offers..of course basic strategy does not preclude you from going on short streaks and get up or down several hundred...would be sweet to play enough to get cruise offers and also WIN at the tables...again...i know if u play long enough you will LOSE unless you can beat math which millions have tried and none have done (or you are a very good card counter which i think all the cruises use continuous shuffle machines so good luck counting)

Stick with $ 6 minimum tables and apparently betting that level would pretty much have to spend the entire cruise to get enough points to get free or very reduced cost cruise.

"To insure promptness" is NOT the meanuing.

I tip to say thank you for good service. Not to hope we get good service.

In any case it is your money and do as you think best and we will do the same.

Goodness I've needed at least two bags of popcorn for this thread but it has delivered! I'm falling out over calling a tip before service a bribe. I guess you could make an argument in that direction! No shame here at all - I tip/bribe our steward right up front, tip the bartenders and whoever else is serving me. As someone who has worked in hospitality most of my life I know how much those tips mean. I'm also kind and not rude to them - just as important. And I also know that yes, I will get preferential treatment but not in the way some think.

In the hospitality biz, everyone should get treated to a certain standard regardless of tips or not. The tippers get a little more, though not at the cost of anyone else getting what they "deserve" as a customer. Besides it makes me feel like a baller. Now, take some popcorn and pass it around.

Somehow we almost always get great service from our room steward by leaving on the autotips, treating him as a human being always saying hello and thank you, picking up after ourselves and if deserved some extra dollars as we leave the ship. Never felt we had to tip before getting any service. Being in the hospitality business you should know what tip stands for.

Plus eliminating the OBC for couples with Military and Stockholders shares.

It's the only reason we kept it all these years but it looks like there's no more reason lately.

They have gotten rid of perks for elites. Miss the coffee card

I bought a lot of shares a couple of months ago at $9 when I realized that most of the cruises I want to take this summer in a mini-suite or suite were fully booked and starting to book up quickly for next year.

It was a dead give away things were going in their direction.

Not sure they are out of the woods as they still have a huge debt on their books but do enough cruising and will get back the money you paid for the stock. Only negative is they keep raising  auto tips and other things that we do so obc does not go as far as it used to.

@Micahs GrandadExactly!! I traded CCL (a lot) in my IRA to wipe out a loss (bought 56 -- had 1.5k OBC sold at 9 so lost 3200 less dividends / then traded a bunch back & forth to recover) finally bought CUK in the brokerage account. Reeped over 1500 OBC so far with another 500 already logged in. Don't really worry about it anymore as the shareholder OBC is like a non-taxable dividend for a stock I've been reimbursed for (yeah I know I'm wrong but that's how I view it)

Have looked at it as a non taxed dividend for years and even though behind now on stock price have tripled our money at least on obc.

We're booked on the Caribbean Princess for a week in December on the eastern Caribbean itinerary. Aside from the day at their private beach in the Bahamas, we stop in San Juan PR , Grand Turk and Amber Cove DR. For those of you who have made port calls at these places what would you recommend as far as things to do? What excursions did you enjoy and which ones were a waste of time & money?

Grand Turk has a very nice beach so to us no excursion needed. Amber Cove a nice pool so would say the same.

In San Juan the fort is a nice easy walk or take ferry and than taxi to the Baccardi brewery

Most of us do carry cash when cruising just so we can give a little extra on the last day to our favorite bartenders, stewards and servers

On the last day or next to last day we do too. Not on day 1 to say 7.
