  1. We have used SAS Transportation from hotel in Fort Lauderdale to the Port of Miami and also from Port of Miami to FLL Airport. You can make your reservation online. It's about $15 per person.
  2. Thank you princeton for the good information. I've been to Miss Shirley's in Annapolis and as I remember it was very good. Also wondering to myself if it will be worth the effort to Uber twice after arriving. Maybe we should just bring some bagels in our carryons and grab some coffee before we collect our luggage. Than just hang around for a while before Ubering to the port. I don't want to leave our luggage on the belt for too long because who knows where it will end up.
  3. We arrive at 7:00 a.m.; way too early to Uber to the port. Is there a recommended restaurant between BWI and Cruise Maryland that we could Uber to before heading to the port? We will have collected our luggage and can't go back through security to restaurants in the airport.
  4. Just leave your tips on your account or prepay them if you prefer. This should be included as a service charge and not be called tips. If you feel the need to "tip" more, just hand the person some cash.
  5. Love, love, love that there is a non-smoking casino !!!
  6. Awesome to read the Vista will have a non-smoking casino! Just got off Magic and it was so nice to sit at the roulette table and not have smoke in my face. I hope Carnival puts non-smoking casinos on all ships, or makes all casinos non-smoking.
  7. Enjoying your review! We boarded Carnival Magic the same day as your cruise.
  8. Saw it flash by when looking at Hub App while onboard. Confirmed at casino bar to be sure.
  9. I got a casino survey shortly before my recent Magic cruise and filled it out online. Not sure if this has anything to do with the survey, but was pleasantly surprised to receive "drinks on us while playing" in the casino.
  10. Great reading! Thank you for posting another review - I will be following
  11. Returned from cruise January 21. Felt mild symptoms since the day before and tested positive for Covid when I got home. Two of the five of us who sailed together got it. So far the others are ok. Mine was a mild case, my friend is much sicker but seems to be getting better. Didn't feel sick before traveling or see anyone who was sick onboard. We probably caught it in a crowded elevator or waiting to get into dining room. Perhaps we caught it the weekend before on the flight down to Florida. I had Covid last October after returning from Austria and should have still been immune. Different variants I guess. Covid would not keep me from sailing again - it's all over the place.
  12. I certainly hope there is a bathroom. We will be there with small children also and no bathroom might be a deal breaker. We won't miss the AC, kinda silly to blow AC through an open building anyways.
  13. I am sailing with a group of friends on the Magic on January 13. I am platinum and when I checked in today, the earliest arrival time available was 11:30. I don't think they offer anything earlier; one friend checked in shortly after midnight and got the same 11:30 arrival time.
  14. Flying to BWI for our August 2024 cruise out of Baltimore. Will Carnival offer transportation from the airport to the cruise port? I have been looking in shore tours for this transportation and it hasn't become available yet. If no transportation, is it easy to take a taxi to the port?
  15. Last cruise I had lots of OBC. I bought $100 worth of chips at the Roulette table several times and they did charge me $3 each time. It was worth it though as I was in a lucky streak and brought home some of their money.
  16. Thank you!!! I am happy to hear this as it will be easier to get from our cabins too the dining room.
  17. Thank you for the replies. Two different answers . . . guess I will have to wait until I'm onboard to see where my early assigned dining will be. I like mz-s's answer best though.
  18. On Carnival Magic, which dining room is used for "any time dining" and which one is used for early and late seating? Thank you in advance!
  19. Thank you all for your answers! Can't wait to sail on the Magic in January.
  20. OK, I will reword my question: Is there a non-smoking area in the Casino on Carnival Magic and if there is does it have a roulette table? Thank you.
  21. Is the casino on Carnival Magic smoky? I know some casinos are smokier than others. I think I remember reading that Magic has a non-smoking area or separate non-smoking room. If so, is there a roulette table in the non-smoking area?
  22. We cruised on the Spirit on December 3, 2022. The ship was beautifully decorated and they added some touches throughout the week.
  23. Agree . . . actually the Beach Villas are $899 now even though they are still listed as $999 on the Carnival site. I received a $100 refund after paying $999.
  24. Booked a Villa for $999 for next year's family cruise. The Villa will give our vulnerable grandkids a place to get out of the sun. Carnival reimbursed $100 to my credit card. I never understood the reason they had AC's in an open air building anyways. Sure the cool air felt nice if you stood right next to the AC. At home I would never dream of running the AC while the windows are open. I am confident that the shade inside the Villa plus the ceiling fan will keep us cool enough. Plus there is a full bathroom, misting shower and hot tub plus a mini kitchen.
  25. When Carnival moved us from Freedom to Spirit last year, I lost my ambulatory assessable cabin and they said there were none available. My TA arranged for me to have a shower chair in the cabin. I actually just used the chair as a foot stool on the balcony. I really only needed the ambulatory assessable cabin for the grab bars in the shower and I purchased a suction cup grab bar on Amazon. The suction cup grab bar worked very well and I was confident that it was safe. So no, there are not shower chairs in regular cabins unless one is requested.
