  1. LOL as much as you want bitob but that 'someone', was me and yes, my reply to you re size of suites not being large was to tell you the size of our suite on Victoria. Granted, not all are anywhere near that size but it shows you that there are cabins of size so want a large suite on Victoria? Then book a large suite on Victoria. 🙂
  2. Don't know how large a cabin you want to go but for us, a cabin of 2000+ sq ft gives me enough angst trying to remember where I put everything. Any cabin larger and I think I'd forget where I put myself!! 😄
  3. Luxury. No, Cunard is not in the luxury class as cruise lines go. But We don't want all inclusive; we don't want to pay for tours we'll never use; we don't want smaller ships [don't want the huge ones either]. When I look around our beautiful cabin, feel the care and attention given to us by all the staff, eaten lovely food [admittedly a lot of it off menu] I think, well apparently this isn't luxury, but d'you know what? It's luxurious enough for us. 🙂
  4. Well there you are. We have a set amount per day which we give as extras to any member of staff we wish to say an extra thx too. I have no idea if staff 'talk' to one another re extra grats but just in case, I would have done both. Thx for looking after us and thx for moving us. Each to their own. So far, it hasn't been an issue for us as all b2b2b trips have been booked under one booking. We haven't moved cabins, and don't intend to in the future.
  5. T&C on the drop in price. Interesting!!!! ^ Guests will pay a lower per person per day price of US$15/US$20 for Essential / Premium plans for the duration of their voyage. Daily prices remain unchanged. This lower price is subject to change and valid on new Wi-Fi package purchases made from 18 September 2023 to 30 November 2023 either onboard or on My Cunard. CWC loyalty credits remain unaffected and will be redeemable along with this offer. If you are sailing later than 30 November 23 you will need to purchase your Wi-Fi package online between 18 September & 30 November 2023 to secure this offer price, with the exception of Cunard World Club members who can only purchase on board during the promotional period. * Please note, while Starlink can offer up to 200mbps, this is dependent on satellite availability. Therefore, there may be areas in which this service is not available. We are continuing to investigate options and opportunities to improve connectivity as they arise. ** Cunard World Club members are required to purchase their desired Wi-Fi plan on board during their voyage in order to redeem their loyalty benefit of internet credit. Unfortunately, we cannot support pre-booking a Wi-Fi plan with loyalty benefits at this time.
  6. I apologise if I came across as shouting, I wasn't but there you go. There is a price reduction, but only on the whole voyage plans. The daily rates haven't changed so we are both right. Let's call it a partial Sale.🙂
  7. Right, Sorted. I now have the same info on my My Cunard [took its time to appear]. Looking at the info, this stands out ^ Guests will pay a lower per person per day price of US$15/US$20 for Essential / Premium plans for the duration of their voyage. Daily prices remain unchanged. and as I pay per day, the rate is still the same as it was for our two previous cruises this year.
  8. I have our invoice and the price is still the same. Looking at all my bookings, I see no mention of a drop in price if booked prior to boarding. Please can you tell me where i's find the information on My Cunard. Thanks Plus, if purchasing on a daily basis, how does one purchase in advance?
  9. Don't know who is shouting but it isn't me. You mentioned a Sale, I said the price has been the same all year. Where's the shouting there!!
  10. Rubbish maths. Utilising both credits on a 24hr/per day basis COST us $60, so a saving of $150 on the essential Voyage plan. That's almost three bottles of wine!!🙂
  11. I am of the persuasion that effecting a transfer would be a one off and a little thank you at that time, would not be out of order.
  12. If you are first time cruisers, you won't have had any previous experience of the internet so I assure you, it's been the same price all this year. That aside, welcome to the world of Cunard. I sincerely hope you have a wonderful first cruise.
  13. It's not a Sale TowandaUK , that's been the going price for our last couple of cruises. Also, one has to bear in mind, if you have any WC internet credit, it can't be used unless the internet is booked onboard. A couple with the Diamond benefit should work out if it's better to buy one Voyage package at the cheaper per day rate [using two devices one at a time], as we did for our first two cruises post Covid, or get savvy and buy into the per day more expensive rate but utilise both Diamond credits which for us, worked out at around $60 cheaper or in laymen's terms, a bottle of wine!
  14. Thank you. The tip tip, would be automatic.
  15. especially when it seems to be inferred Grill'ers know how to dress more than any other folk.
  16. There is no right or wrong to a cruise holiday. The trick is to find the holiday which suits.
  17. Well I travelled in 'the Grills' and I was totally embarrassed for being out and about in my jeans after six. So even a lowly Grill'er like myself can get caught out...but not in my bathrobe I hasten to reassure! 😃
  18. Scant comfort but maybe they've stopped off for a little something after being in the pool etc.rather than an out and out blatant disregard for the After Six codes. I didn't have my watch on and went down to the library to exchange a book in my [whisper it 😃] jeans and skulked back feeling very embarrassed so it can happen.
  19. honestly, why wasting time with negativity when there is so much positivity? Well said .MrsPeel55 Through ups and downs, I try and live by that phrase.
  20. Or the train which takes about fifteen minutes. Cunard shuttle into Zeebrugge itself, then the train and then it's a brisk walk into town although the cobbles might make it a somewhat bumpy wheelchair ride in places. Homework to be done there if needs be,
  21. It's winter. Enter the spirit with a hot drink. Now summer, it would have to be a Belgium Fruit Beer...with Croque M and Frites! 🙂
  22. You may differ as much as you like but on summer cruises, which was the time of year jmw81 mentioned the air con was blasting out not only have we not experienced severe air-con, but we have been almost overcome by the heat on some cruises. It's obviously different on different cruises and yes, doors open in the Arctic could be flipping cold in any draughts. As I said, layer up.
  23. I agree. There is no right or wrong to a cruise holiday. It takes all categories of passengers to make the whole and for some of us the ship becomes our floating hotel, the destination if you like, with ports as a change of scenery should we want to explore. Cunard caters for that, beautifully. 🙂
