  1. Available to book for past Cunard clients at 1pm BST on Wednesday 4th Oct. On general sale 5th Oct. Edit Specific cabins will be available to book, or they better had be 🙂. Maybe the GUA conditions are a sort of Saver fare?
  2. Yes,david,Mississaug and Pushpit, of course prices drop, especially nearer the time of sailing, but not initially on just announced cruises, which was the question posed by jimdee3636.

Our cabins are usually nearly or are all sold out within a day or two so couldn't say, so if this is a genuine question, my gut would say probably not initially, or at least for a while but not having followed other cabin pricing, I really don't know for definite. I have seen a remaining one cabin of four shoot up though and remain at that price until booked.

  5. They have yet another call category in Southampton which went 'Green Cards. QG,' and then I presume PG, Diamond etc 'Green cards' caused a little stir with our American friends. 🙂
  6. My advice, for what it's worth, time to book depends on two main criteria. Cunard have a process called fluid pricing and if a particular cruise/cabin category is selling well, they will up the price without notice. Also, if there aren't many cabins in the level of your choice, or the position is important [eg two cabins adjacent] don't leave it too long, to book. As to timing, our crossings have been on April and May. April was a Northern route and it was a bit rocky at times and May was a Southern route and it was quite calm apart from the Azores where it was a bit windy and a challenge for the Bridge to edge in and out.
  7. We have five booked so far, Two will def. be cancelled if they can't be transferred as they were booked onboard for very little outlay. I'm looking at some for '25.
  8. Bread is bread and mine is from M&S. If we start nit picking about bread onboard a ship, then I think it's all beyond me. The food, on Cunard and in QG is is great. I'll leave the bread to the flour experts.
  9. We never suffered from jet lag flying west to NYC or LA/SF but flying home after a few weeks away, dreadful, so if you are UK based and want to hit the ground running on your return, UK bound is best. If unaffected by jet lag or if being wiped out isn't an issue, then either way will be fine.
  10. Sorry, not sure what you mean. Going slowly across the pond is great at eliminating jet lag.

  13. and equally, one can choose not to. Personally, *, I'm of the opinion RCL would get hung out to dry in the travel press if it was found out their baked from scratch bread onboard was in fact, baked from frozen. * depending on how current the information is.
  14. Put your foot down BklynBoy8 and demand your cheesy rolls of an evening. ☺️ The wait staff ask me and turn to my husband with a smile as they know my answer, just as they're ready with the cheesy one before he asks!!

Don't worry MrsPeel55 you have typed nothing of the sort and indeed, I have felt from our first 'conversations' we're kindred spirits, as I have felt similar for quite a few members. 👍 I know there will be some members on our '24 QA cruises so maybe I might be able to meet them in '24 and others, later on just as you will be able to meet folk on your next bookings.
  16. I think it's US speak for 'gosh, that's awful'! Not had a roll for around ten years on Cunard as my spare capacity goes on morning toast for the crispy bacon toastie. Could be luxury bread or it could be cheap 'n cheerful's own by the time I've finished slathering brown sauce on it.😀 My husband is very partial to the cheesy roll.
  17. That's where the Lido comes in. A bit of this, a bit of that and with some sushi and stirfry on the side. A perfect lunch! Just don't go too heavy on the wasabi as it plays havoc with stir fry. 😀

  20. I think some posts now are just wind ups. Bottom line, QG menus might not suit all, all the time [eg us] but the facility to go off menu solves that and the regulars are more than happy with the fare so prospective newbies don't need to worry about it.
  21. Ali, one of the Grills' Head Waiters on QV always goes fishing when in a suitable port and has often jested about that. 🙂
