  1. Sounds good but 25 is too many. My limit is usually 12. We had about 12 on all the tours I have done in Istanbul. We had 6 on an evening tour. It was all walking, the subway and the tram. I have done some larger tours to use up OBC and usually regretted it.
  2. I think people who only do ship tours lack creativity 😀 In most cases ship tours are over packed, too many per guide and often the most generic. I sometimes do a ship tour but usually regret it while independently booked tours have mostly been top notch. Do research and don’t end up on a bus with 20 to 60 others. If for example I can be lazy and go to the let’s say the Acropolis with 50 people or in a van with 10 people. Same place but the experience is going to be different. It really is not inconvenient to find an independent tour that takes 12 or less.
  3. They don't change the bus routes seasonaly. You could possibly make an earlier bus if you take the 8:00 ferry. The bus station is about a 10 to 15 minute walk from the ferry terminal. You can take the 1,3,10 or 11 bus. Any bus that says St. George. From the Swizzle you have the same 4 routes to Hamilton. Pink pole at bus stop means bus towards Hamilton and Blue pole bus towards St. George. Keep that in mind because they drive on the other side it is easy to lose sense of direction. I think your plan is doable if you actually get up and make the 8:00 ferry. 😀
  4. They don’t put an end date but last year the winter schedule went into effect November 6. Based on past practice I would expect something similar this year.
  5. It is a reduction in service not an increase. On the days it ran last year they had four runs to and from St. George’s. Now they are only doing two or one to and from St. George’s. It is pathetic.
  6. Effective April 29 http://www.marops.bm/Documents/Ferry/Summer Ferry Schedule 2024.pdf
  7. Because BWI is not a port. There are no cruise ships there. If you tell a taxi driver you want to go to BWI they are going to take you to an airport 10 miles from the Port of Baltimore. If you are driving and enter BWI you will end up at an airport 10 miles from the cruise port.
  8. Did you fly in or out? Why does it have FRI and SAT on the tags. BWI is an airport or train station. They are in Anne Arundel County. It is not a port.
  9. You mean they repostioned from Fort Lauderdale to Baltimore 😀 BWI is not a port, is not in Baltimore or Baltimore County. I believe Carnival has had sailings from Baltimore that did Aruba.
  10. They just raised the fares 15% on April 1 so adding that I would estimate for 1-4 passengers overall on a weekday it would be $29 plus tip.
  11. I did a cruise on Summit that went from Cape Liberty to Miami. It was a repositioning cruise so it had to do an ABC to be legal.
  12. AT&T Unlimited plans include Canada, Mexico and Latin America. They may not be on an unlimited plan.
  13. It makes more sense for Royal to build or obtain some smaller ships than expect the taxpayers to rebuild multiple bridges. Can it be even be certain that the Oasis and Icon class ships will remain popular. One big disaster and evacuation of thousands and poof goes the market. None thought the Titanic would happen or that the Key bridge would collapse. These super sized ships have been lucky.
  14. My main reason for the card is free travel. I have not paid for a flight in a long time. Transferring points to Hyatt or booking Hyatt through Ultimate Rewards has been great. I have the Freedom card and Freedom Flex. This quarters category’s are restaurants and hotels. It stacks so I am getting 7% when I eat out.
  15. The Bermuda itineraries are horrible and don’t match the ones out of New Jersey. They are five days arriving late the first day and leaving early the second day. Useless. Longer itineraries are okay if you like the Bahamas. Meh.
  16. The Atlantic is one of my favorite magazines. The article was satire by an author who is known for satire. It was pretty funny in my opinion.
  17. i read it. I get The Atlantic with my Apple News subscription. It was obviously satire. Many tells that it was satire. The graphic t shirt he wore then he switched to wearing a robe.
  18. Before there were larger ships, when the largest ships of their time were sailing out of Baltimore, it was a secondary market. There are limited itineraries from Baltimore because of the weather and it takes 10 or more hours to get to the ocean. It will remain a secondary market even if they increase the heights of the bridges.
  19. They could move the cruise port south of the bridges. They could build ships that fit under the existing bridges. Why should the taxpayers pay for new bridges for foreign flagged cruise ships? If new bridges would enhance cargo it might make economic sense. For the cruising market I doubt it.
  20. Cellular at Sea is not turned on until 12 miles out to sea. It is off in port.
  21. Yes. They will be available when the ship clears. I have taken them at 8:30. They were there before that.
  22. I do the same now after a couple of close calls. Getting the text message alerted me and I realized that in the hoopla of sail away I could miss the text message.
  23. AT&T does the same. OP forgot to go to Airplane Mode after the ship left port.
  24. It would illegal for you to get international charges while docked in Miami. Someone must have forgot to turn the phone to airplane mode before the ship reached 12 miles out of Miami.
