  1. You use the Celebrity app. Celebrity killed their app on your phone. I have apps that run will lon iOS 13 and are still updated. FaceBook for example. While your phone hardware is obsolete Celebrity decided to make their app obsolete.
  2. Apple still supports older versions of iOS 17 for security uodates and bug fixes. Celebrity has decided not to support older versions than iOS 17. I have plenty of apps that are years old and still run fine. iOS 17 did add features but 14, 15, 16, are not that different.
  3. The bad guys are constantly looking for ways to break in. Both on Apple and Android devices. Many of the bad guys are backed by China, Russia or Iran. With state power they have a lot of resources. They want to find a way to steal from you or steal your identity. When security researchers find a vulnerability they inform Apple and Google who then issue updates to stop the hackers.
  4. Six years is a long time. It really is time to get a new phone. As far as updating iOS those updates are usually security updates, not bug fixes.. It may be a pain but they need to be done.
  5. Calling Celebrity won’t make a difference. Your iPhone is no longer supported for updates past iOS 16 which is bad for your security and Celebrity only supports iOS 17 and beyond. A double whammy. Understandable that Apple no longer supports a 6 year old phone. Celebrity, well they could have supported iOS 16, it is not that old but they have choose not too.
  6. A valid passport is all that is required for Bermuda.
  7. You don’t say the itinerary. Have to have that to begin to answer your question.,
  8. From their other thread OP has taken responsibility and made an appointment to be safe and to get passports the same day as they don't want to encounter a problem at check in. Hopefully will happen.
  9. Why you do think they would give something satisfactory in writing? I think they will give a vague answer in writing.
  10. On a sugar plantation I got a short ride on a narrow gauge Railroad behind a small steam engine. That plantation was pretty interesting. Spice plantation in Granada was cool too. Brought back a few spices. They had to be sealed to bring back.
  11. I agree but OP is sailing from Boston.
  12. The giant toads were fascinating I still recall them. We got to pick them up. The banana plantation was interesting too. The banana pickers rode around on sort of zip lines from tree to tree. Not what I would have expected. Also a very high percentage of the picked bananas are rejected for export.
  13. Royal Caribbean's website has become vague about documents required which causes a lot of fear and uncertainty. I don't think they want to be competent. I think it is on purpose.
  14. i have been to banana plantations because the drivers stopped on the way back. The banana plantation was not even on the excursion itinerary. Have also had tours make an extra stop at rug sellers, leather sellers and ceramic workshops. The guides must have been getting some kind of kickback. Went on an excursion in Jamaica and they stopped at a plantation for lunch on the way back and there were gigantic toads. I never saw toads that huge before.
  15. FYI. The font you have switched to looks fine on a computer but is practically unreadable on an iPad.
  16. There is no way to pick in advance whether a ship will be docked facing the Great Sound or facing the Royal Navel Dockyard. Ships can and do dock either way. The view is fine either way so no big deal.
  17. If you are near an Apple Store the were taking old electronics to recycle. Two years ago before my big move to Texas I took a bunch of boxes to the Apple Store in Bethesda. They took everything, did not have to be Apple products.
  18. They did the same thing asking about Jamaica. I don't think crossposting makes a good impression nor is it the way to find an answer. What I would do for plantations is go to TripAdvisor and search for "caribbean plantations". Probably get a lot of results. Then read the reviews.
  19. The Atlantic has good and bad articles. It is a magazine. The article authors are contributors that come from all over the place.
  20. My travel kit is an iPhone Pro Max, 11 inch iPad Pro and Kobo ereader. I have the good magic keyboard and pencil. Since I am retired I don’t need a laptop. YMMV. I could actually probably just travel with the iPhone as with the 6.7 inch screen as I can watch movies and read books on it.
  21. Your screen shot map shows Somerset Long Bay which is close to the Dockyard. No bathroom there. The sidebar shows Clearwater. I don’t know how google is giving you that mash up.
  22. That is Clearwater Beach you linked too. It is not close to the Dockyard cruise port. Long Bay Beach is in Coopers Reserve. Both are on the other end of Bermuda from the cruise port at the Dockyard. Long Bay Beach is great but you have to go to Clearwater, walk into the reserve, then walk to Long Bay Beach. No vehicles are allowed in the reserve. There is a gate. There are no bathrooms like OP asked for. I have been there. Clearwater, Coopers Reserve and Long Bay Beach are about as far from the Dockyard cruise port as you can get. I did them when docked at the cruise port in St. George’s.
  23. If the reseller is authorized like Celebrity the warranty is from the date of sale to you not when the store receives it. Keep the receipt. You won’t usually get a discount from buying onboard even older models. Really the only reason to buy onboard is to use OBC or to save on taxes. If you are in the US you can often get discounts from Best Buy or Amazon on the latest models that are better than the prices onboard Celebrity.
  24. There is no permanent concession at Warwick. The Bermuda government does put out the opportunity for local entrepreneurs to set up a stand during the beach season at Warwick and Elbow. Sometimes one does. Last year I don't recall anyone mentioning there was one there at Wawick but there was one at Elbow Beach in the summer.
  25. It is not an Apple Store. They are an authorized reseller. Like Amazon and Best Buy, Target. That does mean that the Apple warranties are good.
