drumming cruisers

this looks like Dawes glacier. On Bliss in June that's where we went, On Encore in mid-August we went to Glacier Bay, Marjorie glacier picture below.

We ate half our food one-night around 11PM. wanted to take rest and eat in cabin while we watched movie. We walked out with our plates and out of the Local area, and they started yelling at us, that we couldn't take it out of the restaurant. Was embarrassing. You can take plates of food out of buffet, no one says a word.

The Local is the same as O;sheehans. Renaming them as he no longer works at NCL.

We were on AK, cruise a week ago and all crew were wearing masks. We wore masks in all public places and ate meals outside if at all possible. By end of cruise lots of people were coughing. On FB board quite a few reported they tested positive for covid when they got home.

Just ask. We got off Encore today. Were in a balcony. Asked room steward for robes, had them in half an hour first day.

Is there a shuttle from the NCL port in Sitka to downtown? is there anything to see/do downtown? TIA

Icy Strait Point instead of Skagway

We are booked on Encore in a week thru CAS, we are also Sapphire Latitudes. Which boards first? Embarking in Seattle. Not sure if they have separate areas after check in like NY

I thought the Bliss used lifeboats as tenders. Why couldn tthe Encore? We are leaving next week on Encore. Wonder if Skagway will still be on our port schedule.

I agree with your dad about the decorative pillows. I piled them on the couch with a note for the room steward to remove them. We weren't impressed with Bowen the concierge. Can't remember the ship we were on, but he pretty much shifted everything to the assistant concierge and butlers. Wasn't friendly either.

Gary Love your posts We love to cruise. In August will be our 33rd cruise. Will be on Encore. Not many reviews on that ship, and a lot aren't very positive. So going to check it out. Looks pretty much like the Bliss. We didn't care for the Joy. Could never really figure out why. Guess a weird vibe. . Glad you got healthy and lost weight, did you join a weight loss group like weight watchers, od do Keto, etc?

Sign into your on line NCL account and pre order. Just like your excursions, dinner reservations etc. Water is in plant based boxes.

From seeing prior pictures, there are more t shirts and souvenirs in the bldg. They don't charge for the bus. but the bus schedule is odd. all aboard wasn't until 12:30 but last bus to return to terminal is 11:00, We were told the locals determined the return time not NCL. So not much time in Ketchikan. And the roads had huge potholes. You would think they would have paved them.

Ketchikan new dock in Wards Cove. Was a LONG walk in the rain to new terminal. Was sort of covered walkway. Terminal bldg. had a few souvenirs, a food/drink area. Mostly empty space. We got on bus to go to downtown. Took about 20 minutes. Another long walk in the rain to get where NCL used to dock and to the Tongass store. My DH wanted a t shirt from that store.
