The casino is our entertainment from 10:00 pm on sometimes a bit in the afternoon. We go on long cruises with lots of sea days so we also spend time in bars or reading or going to lectures. The casino is just a few hours a day on our cruises
Another reason we always wait to book specialty restaurants until on board. We have found that they never reserve all the tables especially for dining after 7:30 or so
Take 5 is wonderful on the evening but it is usually closed in the afternoon. They were using it for elite/suite cocktails when we were on board I. It also made a nice break from the neighboring casino
Still we are talking about grown people who are all expected to be responsible for their own actions not children. When I was 22 I had a 6 month fling with a 35 year old woman should someone have “saved” me from that ? As a 43 year old I had a shipboard fling with a 25 year old entertainment staff member. Again we are adults and should be treated as such.
Posting deck plans is pretty much the same as advertising. We look at what each ship offers and make our choices from that. We are not going to complain about things that we know about in advance
I have a friend who was a bartender who met a passenger and then married her What some people are calling stalking also takes place on college campuses and local restaurants
Guest entertainers are also considered passengers and usually have cabins in passenger areas. In the past it was very common to have relations with passengers and in fact all entertainment staff used to invite us down to crew areas. About 15 years ago we were on a ship where a young lady who had had too much to drink and fell down a crew staircase trying to find someone. Later all policies changed
There are still lots of posters who complain about things that are not going to change. Royal class ship don’t have casino bars, this ship didn’t have Alfredo’s, this ship doesn’t have Vines. My goodness you know it advance what ships have what things on board
I wear jeans, T shirt and tennis shoes in port. My medallion is in my pocket. I don’t think I look all that different from most people we encounter. We cruise mostly in Alaska, Hawaii, Mexico, Canada and Panama cruises
Sure. I just don’t get people who take them into port with them. Just like the ones who wear a lanyard and medallion in port. Seems to label one as a tourist and target
