  1. Are you referring to the MDR or suite breakfast. I really think if you try to order steak for breakfast in the MDR you will be disappointed
  2. Manaus is in the Amazon region of Brazil and needs more vaccines. Not too many cruise lines go up the Amazon due to recent restrictions. Yes you do need a visa and years ago when I did this the Brazilian embassy in SF kept my passport for 3 weeks. Do everything early to be prepared
  3. Not in Seattle or Vancouver recently
  4. Cruise cards were never used in that slot. If they were you would not be able to get back into the room
  5. I haven’t seen elite-suite lines in any embarkation port since the restart
  6. Likewise for breakfast. I have 3 basic breakfasts and mostly rotate
  7. We had to get yellow fever for Devils Island and the Amazonia region of Brazil and malaria. It will vary by ports
  8. You do not make reservations pre cruise for any casual restaurants. We just do walk up to Vines and Salty Dog. Pop ups are restaurants that take over an area (usually in the buffet area) on occasion. You can look on the patter to see which and where they are offered
  9. The medallion is a battery and not related to power in the cabin. We have things charging all the time Books, phones, IPads hearing aids etc. Never had a problem
  10. We are actually booked in A750 on the Crown in a few weeks. Any tips on the suite ?
  11. For the most ships it is Sabatini’s. You will have a letter in your suite telling you if it is different. It will be in a specialty restaurant and will be wonderful
  12. We find the motion relaxing and helps us sleep. Much less movement than forward facing cabins in my opinion
  13. Well I guess some people only log on to trash cruises The OP says he found out about cruise critic one cruise ago but never bothered to join until he decided to trash a Princess cruise. I would have thought they would have gone on to praise the cruise lines he likes
  14. I really doubt they would charge the 18% because it is called a complimentary meal. I will know for sure on the 23rd when we sail on the Crown we will probably be in Sabatini’s
  15. We cruise in C748 on that class ship often and it is one of our favorites for the large balcony. We almost always cruise in aft suites on all ships that have them
  16. I do find it odd that someone who has taken multiple cruises had never been on cruise critic prior to the aforementioned cruise
  17. We are not signed up for it and our medallions have been shipped. When I opened the new app all it wanted was our phone numbers updated. That being said I am still planning to use the old app on our cruise January 23
  18. That’s why we bring booze home. Once you mix it with tomato juice or OJ who cares
  19. The perks are ok for us mainly because we rarely pay full charge. We usually book with free inside or balcony cabins from the casino and then pay the difference for the suite. Even when we don’t get free cabins we usually get 30% off the rack rate. That being said we love the size of aft suite balconies, enjoy Sabatini’s breakfast, the extra minibar, reserve class dining etc
  20. It is not something you can drink as a shot that is for sure. We change all the hard liquor to whatever cheap brand they have then empty them into empty water bottles and bring home to use in bloody Mary’s and screwdrivers We have plus packages so really no need for it in the s cabin as we are almost out and about
  21. If it is still Accenture there may be a very long wait. They used to do some work for a group I worked in and we learned the their deadlines were almost always a guesstimate
  22. It all depends on the cruise we take longer cruises and eat after 7:30. Reserve section is usually over 3/4 full every night. It still for matter we always tell friends that if they want to have dinner with us they have to book at least a reserve mini. I would never think of inviting anyone else in.
  23. Same with suite breakfast. Sabatini’s is a large venue and there are not so many suites but that is what makes it special
  24. Then what do I do when I can’t get in for dinner because everyone has guests in. Should they be able to bring them along on other suite perks like free specialty dinner, free laundry etc ?
