  1. There appears to be a lot of inconsistency between ships. On the Crown in October when we asked for Diet Coke it came in a glass
  2. Once on board it will show how many credits have been used just like the casual dining for plus package. I have a cruise in 43 days the app says I have no package and connects me to the personalizer which show I have the plus package
  3. I really don’t see the standard fare going away as there are many cruisers who don’t drink and only eat in MDR and buffet
  4. That is fine as long as you don’t like to hang out in bars The plus package is designed for people like us who will partake more than 8 drinks a day and like to use WiFi to keep up with the world on long cruises with lots of sea days
  5. I think they are referring to the speed you said you could gobble down a meal in the MDR
  6. This even happened when we were alone at Vines
  7. Loved it on the Discovery. Great music and good bartenders. The only issue was a few cruisers acting like it was there living room and talked really loud making it hard to enjoy the music. We tried to catch a set every evening
  8. WOW 66 is a heat wave. We are one state north and it is in the low 40’s
  9. The Salty Dog grill has some of best hot dogs I have ever had
  10. Are you kidding? You will be jumped on from all the people who say they smuggle their booze on board , won’t pay grats and don’t care about WiFi
  11. No they have told me that when we both order drinks at the same time it is just easier to put 2 on one face (even if my face is a cat). They hope to remember to go to the other for the next round but you can imagine how that goes
  12. No one is quarantined who tests negative anymore. I tested positive on the emerald in March and my wife negative she was free to go about her business on the ship while I was stuck in the cabin
  13. The issue is state laws versus federal law. Marijuana is legal in most states where you embark from but once you enter the terminal you are in federal territory just like airports
  14. We always have to insist that they charge one drink to each account. The only bar that doesn’t need to be reminded for some reason is the casino bar. At one point I was up to 20 drinks and she was showing 4. That does not compute
  15. As long as they do not ask me to order drinks for them. And yes that has happened to me
  16. I think we are all going through this and it is why I.always travel with a screenshot of my travel summary
  17. That also means your traveling companions cannot find you as well. We find that element of the medallion very helpful
  18. Also remember that a 6:00 to 7:00 reservation may well be held up because the mobs who line up before the rooms even open will not be done with their meals. I have often seen people with reservations told they would have a wait during busy times
  19. In our last 5 cruises I have had this happen only once. I would hate to have to pull it in and out of a sleeve every time I needed to us it. Like getting on and off the ship etc
  20. It is because you termed “drinks for ladies”. You seem to like martinis which is what my wife drinks. So I am only referring to you comment about drinks for ladies. As fit rum I would never mix a good rum with OJ but for a morning eye opener Captain Morgan mixes well with the OJ
  21. I just had holiday tea at the Heathman Hotel. I moved from Oakland to Portland awhile ago
  22. Each time I have had Covid on a cruise, twice , I have always gotten medical charges reimbursed by my KaiserMedicare Advantage plan. Quarantine reimbursement done via my CVP
