  1. Have not seen free plus package on any of my recent offers but am still getting free balcony and $400 - $600 per person free play. I am ok with paying for the plus package and my newest travel summary for one just booked shows my $200 pp OBC and the free play. Upgraded to a full suite and was a heck of a deal. Incredibly I was able to book through future cruise sales on board another ship
  2. You don’t consider the crew gratuities as even better than the WiFi. ?
  3. I am on a 7 day Discovery Princess in June as a casino guest and in a suite. I received an email this week and called and set up a reservation for June 14 which just happens to be my birthday
  4. The OP set this up for questions to be answered at Seatrade 2023 which hasn’t happened yet. That takes place March 27-30
  5. You can get the beverage package for one but that would not include gratuities or WiFi
  6. I cruise the same way I treat things at home. I mask in certain super crowded circumstances such as city buses or if I know I am around a lot of unvaccinated people. Also always mask in public restrooms. Other than that no masks in restaurants or bars at home or on cruises. I have been on 5 cruises post pandemic at tested positive twice. I have be vaxxed and boosted within an inch of my life it seems. Hope to have a good end tO this cruise and then I leave in June for 14 days on the Discovery
  7. I sorry you are not sailing for over a year and you are worried about dinner reservations. ? Sounds like a first world problem to me
  8. Update - Day 3 of isolation and my fever broke last night feeling so much better and ready to leave isolation and get back to normal on Tuesday. One note when I had covid on the Royal in August it felt like we were dumped into covid jail and forgotten. Here in the Emerald it is night and day. Many calls asking how I am flowers just delivered from Guest Services. Steward still checks in to see how I am doing. Ready to go back to the grill, bars, MDR and casino on Tuesday. All kudos to the ship staff
  9. I prefer the aft Vista and Penthouse suites to the Owners. They are just too big and that is really all you get for the money. We had an owners suite on a trans Atlantic cruise and in rough weather all the closets and drawers kept opening and closing all night. Every aft suite we have ever had contains a table with 4 chairs and 2 either recliners or chairs with foot rests
  10. Walk offs start around 7:30 but you have to handle all your own bags from the ship through the gangway and customs to the curb
  11. You automatically get FCC’s for the 5 days in isolation and port fees return for ports you could not leave the ship for. I will contact my CVP to get the FCC quicker but those are all I would expect and it is in writing
  12. We are currently on the Emerald 15 day canal cruise. We used home tests on day 6 on general principles even though we had no symptoms. I tested positive and my wife negative. She is still testing negative one day later. Rules are I must isolate for 5 days my wife can come and go but must take her meals in the room. They say she does not need to test anymore unless she has symptoms. I am free to leave after 5 days with no more tests. I have a slight stuffy nose and that is about it. Though people might want to know the current situation. We both had covid in August and all of our boosters. It is much better service now than when we quarantined on the Royal
  13. If you don’t use it you get the money back so no harm no foul
  14. If you are in a full suite you will eat breakfast In Sabatini’s for suite breakfast and club class dining area for dinner and lunch in sea days. No need for reservations. You will s as also have a free specialty dinner on first night. Just call dine line when you board to set a venue and time On the Emerald this week the dine line actually called me although I had already arranged time my going to the venue itself
  15. Paying a single occupancy will not help. There are a limited amount of seats in what is known as club class or reserve. If everyone could bring in friends there would be a waits and it would not be fair to those who pay for club class minis and full suites. Either you can book her in a mini that has those perks or you can dine in the regular MDR. They will not let you bring her along age means nothing here. Rules are rules and we have been dining in the club class since it started
  16. I am currently on the Emerald with the plus plan that I ordered well over a year ago. I am able to get drinks up to $15 rather than $12 but not the so-called new items like fancy full of sugar desserts etc. I imagine it will work to the same for premier packages
  17. Casino comp and free play cruises are only available when you book through Princess. You can use the casino department, a Princess CVP or as it turns out future cruise group on a ship (I just booked on the Emerald for a free balcony upgraded to a full suite for a Hawaii cruise in 2024). The main thing is you can only book them through Princess not outside TA’s
  18. From any port I think you need to do a walk off with your own luggage in order to mdd add me that flight
  19. Yes they are comp cruises. I just booked a 16 day Hawaii trip with free balcony upgraded to a full suite while on the Emerald Princess. Yes it was like pulling teeth since they are not used to doing them but it got done and now transferred to my CVP.
  20. Incorrect there are only concierge’s on Royal class ships
  21. We have no use for the NEW items. We average 8-12 drinks a day so that alone pays for it
  22. It is $200 per person returned as OBC and any fees
  23. Remember the concierge only exists on Royal class ships
  24. I am currently in a Vista suite on Caribe and the balcony is fully covered.
