  1. The staff usually won't say anything to those ignoring the designated smoking areas for cigars. When we were on Solstice a couple of months ago, some folks were encroaching onto the bar area, and the head bartender back aft chased them back over to where they belonged, on the port side only.
  2. In the past, we've always sailed Celebrity with the AI package, beverage, grats, & internet. We've always tipped the beverage guys1$ a drink, and have always gotten great service and good pours. Funny thing, when you walk up to the bar, your drinks are prepared as if you were the next in line. We give the sommelier cash tip at the end of the cruise. Our next three sailings we have no packages so will just pay the required auto tip on our drinks, except for those who give extra pours. 😁 During the 5-7 happy hour, will tip the bartender/server1$ a drink.
  3. You have to do the math. We got it once because it was on sale and we had a lot of tender ports on our cruise which gave us front-of-the-line privileges to get off and on the ship. I wouldn't get it again.
  4. I was always under the assumption that the tip was included in the price of dining in a specialty restaurant, especially since the costs per person is high. I think that's the reason a lot of people didn't when the dined in the specialty restaurant. I think that's the reason they added the 20% when booking.
  5. Don't they charge for pizza on Odyssey's Italian restaurant?
  6. Bed is by the bath/door. Near the forward elevators.
  7. I suppose it would depend upon the costs. What is the difference in $$$ between the guided and on your own? If the difference is a lot, you could take the "on your own" and get a guided tour when you arrive from one of the local vendors. You would definitely need some sort of guided tour to get the most out of your visit, whether it be a physical guide or an audio guide once you get there. I would assume they would provide audio guides at a small cost along with your admission.
  8. You must have misread my post. I was talking about initial embarkation from a U.S. port, which the OP was referencing. No one was talking about Bermuda Customs, yada, yada, yada.
  9. It depends on the port. They wouldn't take it from me at Tampa, so I ended up carrying it on board, which was a PIA. 😉 In Europe we bring on those 6-pack 1.5 liter water bottles.
  10. I've never seen a drug dog while EMBARKING at any port in the U.S. I've seen plenty DISEMBARKING, coming back from a cruise or overseas flight, checking out luggage.
  11. I have never, ever, seen a drug sniffing dog when embarking at any port. Sometimes it might be better to ask for forgiveness than ask for permission and plead ignorance. No one is going to lock up a cancer patient for a prescribed pill.🤪
  12. If it's prescription medicine in its original prescription bottle, who is going to know what it is or what it contains when you check in. I wouldn't worry about it. Who's going to know the difference. I've never had any of my medication searched at any time when boarding the ship.
  13. It depends on the port and ship arrival times. You should be able to walk off with luggage around 7am.
  14. I hope it tasted good, because it sure doesn't look very appetizing to me. 😜
  15. Yes, up there at the open wind Mast Bar.
  16. We were on Constellation TA (Eastbound), and because of the numbers, they held E+ in Tuscan, and Elites in Qsine. It worked out well. No one really checked, so you could use either one.
  17. It's a great cabin to pick. We usually pick 2105 on the port side. Huge balcony. Very minimal noise from above.
  18. If only one person drinks alcohol, you can call and get the alcohol package for one, and the refreshment package for the other.
  19. Yes. Just ask your stateroom attendant, who has the key.
  20. I wouldn't say overly bothersome. You will hear some scraping of chairs & tables moving from time to time, and in the evening with the staff setting them up for the following morning, but nothing late at night. If you are a light sleeper, it may be bothersome, but I think the aft views outweigh the tiny inconvenience.
  21. Yes, it will show up in the Cruise Planner, so you can use it pre-cruise on excursions, etc.
  22. Yes, just set it up and give him your username and pin.
  23. It used to be very reasonable to get the 4-device package and share it with three others, but Royal got wind of it and jacked up the prices.
  24. They didn't have any sandwiches on Solstice earlier this month -- just the 4-5pm in the Oceanview.
