  1. Doesn’t look like there are cabanas. People are getting refunded on board for cabana price.
  2. Great comments. I think many passengers trying Vibe for the first time will be surprised by the lack of shade and winds on most Vibe areas on the Breakaway class ships. Personally, I love the full sun and have sat through some major winds on those top deck Vibes! Umbrellas are usually not in play due to wind.
  3. Great comments. I'm going on my first Celebrity cruise this New Years. I'll keep your feedback and comments in mind! Appreciate your response!
  4. Good comments but I've never found Vibe to be overpriced; we purchase a cabin that meets our needs, specialty dining all week, and purchase upgraded drink package. Toss in Vibe and I get a pretty good bang for my buck experience. I don't compare it to Haven because I'm sure the Haven experience is extraordinary and better than the choices I just listed;. I'm just a bit more cost conscious and enjoy the amenities listed.
  5. There is an elevator that goes to 19. One elevator, closest to stairwell, port side of ship.
  6. I don’t think so. Still the same formula of passes sold vs lounge chairs. But who knows? I could be way wrong!
  7. I miss the old days of getting in line at the port at 8:15 am, waiting until 9:30 to start going through security, scribbling out your health questionnaire, checking in hoping to get boarding pass group number one. Then waiting about 90 minutes in the waiting area watching while people attempt to bribe the poor port employee at the main entrance to let them in first, getting pissed off when you see people standing at the entrance blocking you and your precious group one boarding pass, freaking out when two wedding parties get priority boarding, thinking terrible thoughts about the people boarding ahead of you with mobility issues, racing up the gangplank, jostling with other passengers down hallways and stairs to either the Social or Guest Services. Stressful, emotional, what a great way to start a vacation (not). And we’re platinum so we get priority boarding. Sorry, I’ll take this new process every day, all day. Simply put, if I book a cruise and I can’t purchase Vibe with it now, I’m booking another date. However, I will miss the competitiveness of getting the pass and the thrill of victory!
  8. No. And talking to lots of friends who have sailed Miami, if you’re in the concourse before boarding begins. lots of passengers stand by the doors and there have been remarks that guests just push through. We watched a guy push the port employee who was collecting boarding cards with group numbers because he wanted to get his Vibe pass; passenger had a lower boarding number and didn’t want to wait. He was an ass in Vibe all week, rude and loud. It happens.
  9. I used it in Miami in March. My wife basically used the $50 soa credit for an expensive massage. We used breakfast the day of our 7:15 am excursion. We did use priority tender for GSC, which simply eliminated having to wait in line to board the tender. Boarding went Haven, Platinum, then Priority. We were one point away from Platinum before the cruise. So it was good to get on early as we acquired our Vibe pass easily. However, boarding at the new NCL terminal is a free for all; lots of people pushing to board regardless of boarding group or latitude tier/priority access.
  10. You can bring it in but the crew can't really go get it for you.
  11. Great information. I'm sure they will improve the system as it progresses.
  12. Would not be surprised if it's on your card that you receive at check in. Like UBP and Dining Package are marked on your card. As Sid can attest, after the first day the bartenders will know who has access and who doesn't!
  13. I'm booked for Prima in March. Again, I would call NCL directly.
  14. Ok, Im not sure now. I had friends on Breakaway who told me there was one elevator that goes to the sun deck out if the bay of three lifts. This would be consistent with Escape and other NCL ships. But now I'm reading that there isn't outside of Haven elevators. I am truly sorry if I am incorrect.
  15. Keep an open mind! And, I think in today's workforce and customer satisfaction needs, I think it's more important to see "how much we can do well versus how much we can do". Supply chain, product shortages, employee shortages…..I’m more comfortable with a smaller well executed menu than lackluster food on a plate.
  16. You’re welcome! Good luck and have a great cruise!
  17. Ok,sailed out of Miami and New York several times, but this will be our first time out of Port Canaveral. Looking for dining, hotel, and tips for the port recommendations. Not too worried about being first in line but like to arrive early at the terminal. Feedback and comments welcome! .
