Does anyone know how much a bottle of water costs? 

We we will be on the Harmony and the RR package is $20 right now. He drinks a lot of water and likes the flavored water from the Freestyle machine. He also has a smoothie once in a while. We have always lucked out and gotten the RR for $15 on sale in the past. My DH will make good use of the package, just not sure if it’s worth it for my son.

If it is a regular size sofa bed as on most of Royal’s ships, two adults won’t fit comfortably. I think it would be uncomfortable for even a “couple”.  It would be fine for maybe two small children, but not adults. 

If the Wal-Mart is close by, just buy it when you get there. Otherwise, I think the less expensive air mattress idea shipped to the hotel is the answer. Have a great cruise!

Since we are talking the RR package, can just one person in the room get the package, or do 2 people need to purchase it? 

There will be 3 of us in the room. We usually purchase the package for my DH and DS.  My husband always gets his moneys worth from the package by the time he gets water, coffee drinks, smoothies, etc.  We have figured out that our son doesn’t really get enough smoothies, etc. to make it worthwhile and I don’t drink that stuff. We would be better to pay as we go for our son and if I might decide I want a virgin drink or something.

We never tried it with our BOGO last time, even though some people had said they had luck. We had never been to Wonderland or 150 CP, so that is what we did.

I am assuming the extra $10 pp was with the UDP, which we won’t have. But, the extra 20 percent off with a dining package is interesting. Wondering if you need at least the 3 night package to qualify for that? We would also like to try Jamie’s, since we have yet to try that one.

We have never been to Izumi Hibachi. My husband and I have been to a Hibachi restaurant before, but our son has not. We thought it would be fun to take him, but it is so expensive!

We have purchased the BOGO before, but it said that you cannot use that for the Izumi Hibachi, same for the 3 night dining package. Is there ever any way to get a discount?

I believe that this is the cruise that we just booked as a suite GTY. 

We we did not see the suite GTY on Royal’s site but booked it through a third party big box warehouse site. The price that we booked was cheaper then the price of a JS, which is what clenched it for us. (Plus the double points which will finally get us to Diamond.). 

Like the OP mentioned, it looks as if a lot of Suite inventory is still available at this time. While we are hoping to get something above a JS, we will be happy with a JS if that is what we get. The extra room and large closet will be nice and we have never stayed in a JS, but then again, we have never stayed in an OS. LOL!

To the OP, if you booked a JS and are happy with that and it is cheaper then the Suite GTY and includes the drink package, I would probably stay with that. Besides, they may send you an email to bid for an upgrade and you could try for that if you wanted. We are kinda hoping for that ourselves! Happy cruising!!

Hi everyone, found a good price for a suite guarantee on Harmony. We have never done one of these before. How does this work?

Will we still get the double points for the suite? When do they normally assign your room?  What kind of suites have people gotten with the suite guarantee?

We would really like to do this but are just a little nervous. Thanks for any help!

Our last cruise was our third time in a suite and I really wanted to eat in the MDR on at least a couple of nights. Not because of P’s in the CK or the service, as the service that we received was great. But, I was tired of the CK menu and honestly some of the food in the MDR sounded better! Couldn’t convince my husband though.

Hi Andrew, I was watching a Periscope that Twangster did from Nugget Falls/Mendenhall glacier. When he showed the glacier, I had to go back and look at video and pictures from our trip last year. The glacier had receded even since our trip.

I remember that when you were on your trip this year, you mentioned that you might look up pictures from your last trip to Alaska some years ago. Did you ever do that?

I am shocked at how much it receded in one year, can’t imagine the difference years would make.

OMG! Those pictures are hilarious! That monkey in the second picture is hugging you like he just found his long lost friend!

Owen doesn’t look so happy in that last one. I don’t think he liked monkey butt in his face, can’t say that I would either. Otherwise he looked like he enjoyed it.

I love animals, but I think I would pass on that. I think it would freak me out. You were all very brave!

One last thought: why do you have to have a guide when you snorkel there? We had to have one in Costa Maya when we snorkeled there too.
