I put my late husbands ashes off the back of the Grand after he died in 2012. He always wanted his ashes put in the Caribbean Sea. Princess was absolutely wonderful in dealing with this. I had made the arrangements prior to boarding the ship but went to Guest Services and reminded them that I wanted to be in the Caribbean Sea when this was done. I was notified when that would be and was escorted to the back of the deck by an officer who had the area closed off and told me to take all the time I needed. A day or so later I received a note from the Capt. expressing his sympathy and giving the co-ordinates of where we were when I put the ashes overboard. I will always be grateful to Princess for the way they handled this.

If you are thinking trying a luxury line, I suggest Seabourn or Regent. I've been on both and they are much better than Celebrity . Claudia

Jim - Just saw that you have to have eye surgery next month. Hope it goes well and that you have a quick recovery! Also, if you do decide on another cruise before April, please post when you do so that we can follow along once again! (selfishly hoping that you do!)

It's funny, but I always liked Horizon better than Zenith which I also did a couple cruises on. They were sister ships, but I just liked Horizon a lot better.

Meridian was also the first Celebrity ship I sailed on. Horizon was one of my absolute faves! did several cruises on her.
