  1. Glad he is doing better, I hate these things in our body you don't really need, ex. gall bladder , appendix. Had my appendix out about 5 years ago, very painful. Things like this always seem to flare up between 2am and 4am........
  2. I just turned on the Seattle game for the first time, I thought the fog was rolling in. Judge just batted for the first time..........he is doing great, 9 at bats.......8 strike outs for the Series. Very unlike Royalist.........Judge is consistent! 🤣
  3. After looking at it closer yes I see the shrimp now............what did you make the coating out of, a couple weeks ago we tried cooking shrimp in a wok and pretty much all our coating got fried off. Your coating looked like it stayed on?
  4. Just loved that Inside the Park Homerun by JT Realmuto and how they showed Acuna for the Braves just stand there and not back up his center fielder with any kind of help on the play. Acuna is the biggest loafer I have ever seen playing baseball. He is a joke. He thinks he is so cool. I wish the Braves Manager would have pulled him out of the game and sat him on the bench.
  5. Is some of the gator alive? Wondering why there is a gap between the two piles? Gator taste like chicken? My Wife and I had some when we sailed from Galveston. They are big on Fried Pickles and Jacked up Jalapenos down there too.
  6. World Champs Atlanta Braves were over Matched by the Philadelphia Phillies. Phillies will play the winner of the Padres/Dodgers series for the National League Championship Series for trip to the 2022 World Series. Meanwhile in the American League the Yankee fans are booing Aaron Judge. Go figure?
  7. Always been empty during the day when we cruise on a ship that has a Dazzles. We did have one Meet N' Mingle meeting in there during the day. But that is the only time we ever saw anyone in there during the day.
  8. Welcome to the Club, I see more in your future. 😉 It happens to the best of us. 🙂
  9. Dang, seems like you just left.............Time goes so fast the older we get.
  10. Sometimes I hate reading things on this thread, the things some people do while on vacation.
  11. Guess you are lucky your luggage made the connecting flight. That's sure is not a lot of time to switch aircrafts.
  12. If they were in same cabin, they would just get 14 points.........now they are getting 14 for EACH cabin. It's 2 DIFFERENT booking numbers.........Points are awarded for each booking number........they have 2. 7 days x1point per day doubled is 14 per booking number for a total of 28 for the couple.
  13. Rough Plumbing and Rough Electric is now done. Next up tomorrow they are running the gas(propane) line from the existing line that previous owner had for the 2 fireplaces to the new Gas(propane) range/oven. After that patch up all the dry wall they cut out for various reasons to get to electric and plumbing and the new fixture locations in the ceiling. They still have to put the backer board on the floor. Then they will paint both rooms(1 large open room now), then cabinets will go in. After painting I believe the 2 wood beams will go up that are spaced on each side of the 2 pendant lights that are over the 10' x 6' island. After all that the brick/ tile work will begin. Tile back splash, brick pavers on fireplace and walls above upper cabinets. Brick pavers on the floor also. All the pavers are only a 1/2" thick, not like outside pavers.
  14. I guess that is what it is , a deer the last 2 nights is making pumpkin lasagna out of 1 of the pumpkins we have out front for decorations. The corn stalks are from the corn I had out back in the garden this summer. Multi Usage 🙂 That is not a broken window in the front of that house, that is a hose from the Hepa Machine the contractor has out the window for the Kitchen remodel.
  15. People who book cruises from their home states should get 1/2 a point per day from Crown and Anchor, so easy for them to jump on a ship.
  16. I agree they don't make improvements on something without an upcharge for it. Gives them a valid reason to charge you more and make MORE MONEY.
  17. @BonTexasNY Few More pictures of the area changing seasons. These pictures are taken from the Road going up and over Draper Mountain, kind of a gloomy day here today, so the pictures don't show the colors very good. Not a lot of reds out yet either. The is Calfee Park where now the Pulaski River Turtles play baseball, 3 years ago just before we moved here it was home of one of the New York Yankees Farm teams. I'm told even Derek Jeter once played on this field during a rehab stint. The field is one of the best minor league fields in the area. All the All- Stars games are played here. The Pulaski Yankees were a minor league baseball team based in Pulaski, Virginia, United States. They were an Advanced Rookie League team in the Appalachian League.[1] The team played its home games at Calfee Park. They were affiliated with several Major League Baseball teams, including the New York Yankees in their final season. The Pulaski Yankees were awarded Minor League Baseball's top honor, the John H. Johnson President's Award, in 2019. The award recognizes the "complete baseball franchise—based on franchise stability, contributions to league stability, contributions to baseball in the community, and promotion of the baseball industry."[2] The start of the 2020 season was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic before ultimately being cancelled on June 30.[3][4] In conjunction with a contraction of Minor League Baseball beginning with the 2021 season, the Appalachian League was reorganized as a collegiate summer baseball league, and the Yankees were replaced by a new franchise, the Pulaski River Turtles, in the revamped league designed for rising college freshmen and sophomores.[5] This is the Lookout on Draper Mountain where you can pull over and look out from each sides of the mountain. We go up to the top of the Look Out sometimes and take a bagged lunch. It's awesome how far you can see on a clear day.
  18. We just got our 3rd Booster and they said expect a sore arm for a day or 2 which is a good sign. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you received your second dose of either the Pfizer or Moderna COVID-19 vaccine and experienced a sore arm and perhaps some fever, well, good for you. “That’s typically a good sign,” said Fred Campbell, MD, an internal medicine physician and associate professor of medicine at UT Health San Antonio. “In general, a good local reaction is consistent with the body’s defense against that particular vaccine, which means the development of antibodies.” But, he quickly added, everyone is different. If you don’t have a sore arm, “that doesn’t mean the vaccine is not working, it’s just that if you do it’s likely you’re getting a good response.” Mild symptoms can begin immediately after getting the shot or within a few minutes or hours and can last a day or so, “but almost never for more than 36 hours,” Dr. Campbell said.
