  1. Another strange thing from the other day when debarking Jewel on deck 2 in Bayonne was. When showing the guy my seapass card to ding it when leaving the ship he stopped me and took my card off my lanyard and kept it. Didn't think much about it at the time, was just happy to get off the ship. Later I asked my Wife who was ahead of me if they took hers and said no she still has hers? Anyone have any idea as why they took mine?
  2. 2 of the 3 cats gave us a welcome right away. the other one took a few hours and then was back to normal. Picking up the meds for me in an hour when CVS's Pharmacy opens up. I do feel a little better this morning, nose isn't running as much and not as achy. Still coughing and sneezing, Took Nyquil last night so I did get some sleep. I hoping to get outside later this afternoon and mow some grass.......it's really high. Will need to be cut and then install my bagger on my tractor to pick up the clippings
  3. Besides limes, mint was hard to find too.. Didn't get Scurvy but some of us got other "thing" free of charge......😷
  4. Surprised they are docking at midnight and closing the casino 2 or 3 hours early, why not sail around and keep everything still open...........just how many people do they think will leave the ship at midnight on Sunday?
  5. Got back home today around 2:30pm, sure is nice to be back home. My Wife is doing well with the meds her Doctor gave her. My Doctor just called something in for me, I will pick it up tomorrow morning.
  6. You got that right! In hindsight maybe we should rode all the way today, but not knowing exactly how we would feel we booked this hotel. My Wife is sleeping now. I'm sitting here in the dark eating potatoes chips hoping the salt on the chopsvwill calm down my thought. My Wife is doing much better then me because of a comprised immune system her Doctor gave her some meds to take on the cruise. Tried to get something from My Doctor and said he couldn't do it..Said just go to medical.onboard Well that didn't go well. Medical gave me cough drops and what seems like Alka seltzer and some king of allergy medicine.
  7. It's was weird because you would think they would want to keep us away from other passengers buy there we were waiting for elevators to go down on deck 8 to get to Deck 5. We were right there with everyone else, staging area was coral theater for people with numbers. Original Plan for us we had was to put our 3 large suit out hallway and pick them up in terminal. But on the end because of covid we ended up pretty much doing self assitance, and this was done feeling like crap. We drove 285 miles today to a hotel in Winchester,Virginia. Tommorow we will finish the drive back home.(about 245 miles to go. I pretty much haven't slept in 2 days because I wear a cpap over my nose and mouth, makes it difficult because my nose is running so much and coughing. I have to wear the cpap otherwise My Wife can't sleep because of my snoring.
  8. It's not like Royal was going to announce it but there was lots of people hacking and coughing in the shows and Windjammer, there was about 30 people in the conference room that went down to medical. I'm sure there were lots more that had covid but never went down to medical that were positive. For us it was just the one night quarantined, many others were for 5 days and were confirmed right after the last Greenland stop, they never touched the ground at St.Johns,Newfoundland
  9. The lady came up to get us had no cart,a cart wouldn't had worked anyway because by the time they had come to get us the crew had those red bags full of sheets and towels striping the cabin. Luckily I had a large suitcase where I was able to strap the third large bag had to. But I was still struggling to roll the bags over and around all those red bags in hallway. So it was dragging the bags from our cabin to the forward elevators, down to Deck 5 to the conference room. After being pictured and showing our passports to the Unmasked immigration personel,by the way Royals crew in the conference room was also unmasked. Then back elevator to Deck 2 to be dumped outside. We were closer to the teardrop and had to roll all our bags to the pick up area for users and taxis with no help from Royal. So unorganized ,was like this was the first time they have ever done this.
  10. Not exactly a great disembarkment by Royal. None of is feeling well, but here is how it went down. At 745am. There is a knock on our door. It's one Woman Royal Caribbean employee. She says are you ready. Now it's up to my Wife and to lug our 3 large suit cases and 2 back packs from our mid ship cabin 8610 to the forward elevators to go down and sit and wait.We were the first ones to arrive. Here is where all of us will wait. It took almost an hour to round everyone up before the immigration people came into the room.. There was about 30 people in there that were confirmed for Covid. Once cleared an Royal employee escorted us down to Deck 2 and dumped us out where the crew enter and exit the ship After dumped on land it was a long walk to where Uber pick ups were at. Granted we are in our early 60's so we managed. But it was easy. Rest of people were in wheel chairs or walkers, others were older then us. Seems that thought just get them off the ship and they are on their own. Learning now many more from the FB group are now coming down with covid also.
  11. First time getting the Vid, we are going to get a hotel about 4 and 1/2 hours from Cape Liberty off of Rt 81 for Thursday Night. They gave us some meds.
  12. Doesn't matter it's the last day,we got to order off the MDR menu and have dinner in our cabin. Said leave our bags in cabin and someone would escourt us off the ship at 8am tomorrow morning and help us off the ship. Guest services seem to be calling our cabin every 30 minutes,I guess to see if we need anything and that we are still in our cabins.
  13. Yes,it's positive we have Covid ,there goes our chance of seeing our Son and other relatives before heading back to Virginia
  14. We did take tests with us and both of us tested positive But test kits we just noticed were 13 months out of date.. If Quarantined starts it will be at 6pm tonight until we get off in Bayonne tomorrow morning, not a big deal..We are packing now.
  15. I was dreading that,I'm feeling better today then yesterday but yesterday my Wife wasn't that bad but is now worse today. We are driving home from Bayonne to Virginia but we're going to stop in NJ to see some family. They may be out now. Our plan was to get a rental car and just drive home if positive will they let us do that or will they make us stay in a NJ/NY hotel for a few days until we test negative. I don't think either of us has a fever so we might just the flu. As of now I still feel well enough to drive home. Mostly getting test done because of meeting older family members and don't want to get them sick.
  16. My Wife and I are going down to the medic on the ship, think we may have covid.,Runny nose, sore throat and coughing, achey. People that have covid are they first off or last off if we are quarantined our last night before getting off in Bayonne tomorrow?
  17. Actually asked my Wife is this a different country or is this Canada? Then while walking around we went inside a Dollarama we saw they were selling red and white Canada flags, then we knew where we were at.
