  1. No. Pinnacle Suites have1.5 bathrooms. Neptunes have a single bathroom.
  2. It left the refugee assignment a week or 10 days ago, heading to pick up passengers in the Med, I think. I think it's first "normal" cruise was set to sail yesterday.
  3. Check around this board. There are many companies commonly recommended...SAS, QLS, Jiffy Jeff, GO Shuttle, a couple others.
  4. @dixiejen your observations apply only to the Pinnacle class ships. We don't know what ship the OP is on.
  5. You might want to see if there is a Roll Call for this cruise, and post there.
  6. Agree with @Roz...I don't think there are any bad Neptune suites. I have to say we haven't stayed in the SCs on the Pinnacle Class, decks 10 and/or 11, at the front of the ship...but I am suspicious of those. The balconies on those look very small, but the cabin overall looks standard Neptune size, maybe even a little bigger. There are no obstructed view Neptunes. I don't recall, in 15 HAL cruises, any Neptune that has a door to an adjoining cabin.
  7. Just an FYI, the big RCI ships, like Allure, almost always get into port first, ahead of all other ships, due to their size and logistical needs. So getting off them early isn't indicative of the experience others may have on other ships.
  8. I always watch the supply loading on our 25 cruises. I have never seen a gangway used that a forklift can drive across.
  9. Ah, the title of the thread is "flight out of Miami ". The first post says " sailing Carnival Horizon out of Miami".
  10. Well...the taxi ride from Port Everglades to FLL is at most $20. The taxi ride PortMiami to Miami is now over twice that. And MIA is a bigger, much more complicated airport. So, with all due respect, flying out of FLL after docking at Port Everglades has essentially nothing to do with docking at PortMiami and flying out of MIA.
  11. Miami is a bit more complicated than FLL. But noon is fine at Miami.
  12. I don't think Rick Steves does anything on Australia or New Zealand...his focus is Europe with a little of the Middle East. But he has written and done stuff on cruising in general.
  13. The last place a ship wants to be is tied up at a dock in a hurricane, so the ships will adjust schedules whether or not the port closes.
  14. I think you are actually talking about Berth 46. See this thread just down the board:
  15. "May" is the key word. I wouldn't automatically expect every tour that was offered for the original port stop is absolutely going to be available for the new port stop.
  16. The shower containers are shampoo, conditioner and body wash. On KDam in Feb/March, and N. Statendam in July, there was soap and lotion in wall mounted containers by the bathroom sink.
  17. Welcome to Cruise Critic! First of all, you are asking questions that are extremely subjective. Whether excursions or a drink plan is "worth it" is totally a decision only you can make. After 25 cruises, we are starting to enjoy having drink plans, but conversely, we do less and less ship's excursions, preferring to either do private excursions or simply do it ourselves (commonly called "DIY" here on Cruise Critic). But that is our personal view....it may not work for you at all. Do you have access to a travel agent who is knowledgeable about cruising? That would be helpful. Please look around Cruise Critic. There is a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience here. Every question you have has been discussed here....you can go through many discussions of points of view. You can't hurt anything by exploring widely on Cruise Critic.
  18. December 26 will be a normal day, everything will be open.
  19. It was on the wall in our cabin on KDam late February and into March.
  20. Agree, in First or Business, I wouldn't worry about it.
  21. No small bottles for awhile. Wall mounted squirt bottles for all toiletries.
