  1. That is a special arrangement within the PVSA, where ship has to be US flagged ( the only mass market ship to be US flagged), and a huge percentage of the staff must be US citizens. There is no other ship covered by this special arrangement.
  2. It looks like the OP is on Carnival...based on their previous posts, which we shouldn't have to research. The best place for your research would be the Carnival board, here: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/133-carnival-cruise-lines/
  3. Agree. And there is a set of doors between the BB King Lounge and the area of the Rolling Stone Rock Room, which does a far job of stopping the sounds from traveling. They try to keep the doors closed when there are performances in both locations at the same time.
  4. Part of the "delay" is you need to clear US Immigration and Customs in Vancouver. So definitely allow at least the two hours. More is smart.
  5. One of the most commonly asked questions here... If you can be assured of getting off in the beginning of disembarkation, you can carry your own bags off, and grab the first cab you see, you have a fair chance at catching that flight. However, if you can't do that, or anything goes wrong...you are cooked.
  6. That is the way all the travel insurance does it. I am not aware that any travel related business is going to give you a service and bill your insurance later.
  7. No problem with a 1:15 flight. Perfectly reasonable.
  8. Yep...some specifics would be helpful, but I don't think I would try an 11:15 flight. It can be 30-45 minutes to the airport. Docking can be slowed by fog and currents. SFO can be slow, if you don't have TSA Pre.
  9. The Hilton in the airport is a very nice hotel. Very easy to just walk to it, and a great buffet breakfast.
  10. It would be an extremely old phrase. We have sailed in a Neptune or Penthouse Suite for 30 years...Pinnacle Suite was Penthouse Suite. But don't remember "Deluxe Suite".
  11. Agree, the app is absolutely not needed. All you have to do is enter the info required, and print the receipt/approval.
  12. There are many threads on hotels and transport mentioned here. Not sure why you think its too early to book. Just make a booking that doesn't require money up front. You can always re-book if rates go down. Your trip coincides with the start of summer business in SF, so it can get very busy.
  13. You could do a screen capture and print it. You can also get your boarding passes from the "Check in" tab within 24 hours of your flight.
  14. Better to ask on the Carnival board, here: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/133-carnival-cruise-lines/
  15. Generally, yes. But the key issue is whether or not the ticket is actually issued. There is a two step process that isn't always visible to the customer...booking and paying, then the airline issues the ticket. There have been reports that there have been problems when a cruise line doesn't pay within the expected time, that the airline doesn't issue the ticket, and the customer is in for a surprise. I would go to the United website, and where it says My Trips, enter your last name and your 6 character Record Number (something like BQ2FTW). If a flight shows up with the correct info, you may get some options, like getting a confirming e mail, or other things that will reassure you.
  16. A look around the board will find many threads on Miami hotels. One of the most commonly recommended is Hampton Brickell. In a great area, very nice hotel, easy to get to via light rail, and has a shuttle(fee) to the port. Take a look around. Very common topic here.
  17. As we don't know what cruise line you are on, not sure how we can answer your question on their policies on bringing wine aboard. Best to ask that on the board for that cruise line.
  18. There have been shared tables on all 3 of our cruises this year. We had reserved open seating on all 3 of our cruises this year, all early in Open Seating, although on one cruise they transferred us and our requested open seating time into the fixed seating side. It worked for us.
  19. Welcome to Cruise Critic! No, ties are not expected. For all the Princess info you will ever need, check out the portion of Cruise Critic dedicated toPrincess, found here: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/119-princess-cruises/
  20. You could both be parking at a remote stand and busing into Passport Check in Hall B. I would suggest at the exit of Passport Check, at the exit of bag claim/Customs, or at the entrance to the bahnhopf. Probably the best is right outside the green door at Customs ( not Passport Check, but at the exit door at Customs after claiming your luggage.)
  21. As I mentioned on your other thread, I have never held of " deluxe suites". Could you explain? Pinnacle and Neptune suites are the top level suites.
  22. Check TripAdvisor for more comprehensive reviews.
  23. It appears, from other posts, that Canada will be dropping all Covid test and vaccination requirements the end of this month, so, I repeat, its too soon to be worried about such requirements for Sept 2023. But i definitely can say one cruise line isn't going to give you a free test to support your travel on another cruise line.
  24. Don't think there have been many cruises departing from Singapore recently.
  25. Believe it was Celebrity. No, wouldn't violate PVSA. But a considerable logistical situation with all the busing.
