  1. HAL should hire all their top brass from Cruise Critic. So many experts here.
  2. Eurodam will have more entertainment and eating options. Otherwise no real differences.
  3. The distance between the ship and the whales may not be that huge. Yes, you will see them from the ship.
  4. It also takes one of the food prep/display stations from the Lido as well, and has it's own cooks working there during the Canaletto open hours.
  5. If you read around the boards, you will see MANY discussions on you questions. It can get quite hot in June, July and August. Given your limitations, I would go as early as possible in June. Don't forget to allow a few days in at least your departure port, like Rome, to see the fantastic city and get over jet lag. No mass market cruise line does it any better than any other. If you like the product on Celebrity or NCL, start there with your research. Keep in mind that most Med ports are incredibly tour intensive. In other words, you are likely going to be doing a lot of 8, or perhaps longer, tours...day after day. Your target area seems to be what is commonly called the Eastern Med. There are more great ports there than you can see in one cruise, so you can hardly go wrong with whichever itinerary you chose. There are many history and cultural heavy ports, along with some stereotypical Greek islands (like Mykonos or Santorini) and other sites to see. You buy when you can...there is no magic time to book a cruise. There are sales going on, so you probably need to buy when you find what you want, and a price you can work with.
  6. Yes, you can make it. There is another thread on flights just down the board. It's probably the number one topic on this board.
  7. How much interest do you have in Hawaii? That will answer your questions. Hawaii is a beautiful place to visit, with much history and cultural value. It's a fun place to visit. But if you are just interested in a "drive by" visit, then a cruise will probably satisfy you. In order to help you determine this, research is required. Start with the Hawaii board on Cruise Critic. Watch a travel show or two, as well as a documentary or two.
  8. Taxi or Uber is far easier, for all the rides, than a shuttle. And commonly recommended here.
  9. When your boarding pass comes out, see if it says "Preferred" on it. If so, you won't have any problem boarding whenever you please.
  10. @Gardyloo, having been in both, the Polaris Lounge at EWR is better than the contract lounge at FCO. A fair bit better. I would definitely take Business Class going over, both for Polaris Lounge, and for sleeping ability on the lie flat Business class seats. The food isn't going to be that great to stay up all night for.
  11. Welcome to Cruise Critic! Your Roll Call is here:
  12. I would be asking this on the Regent board, here: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/106-regent-seven-seas-cruises/
  13. You asked this once before...it would appear the schedule is not out yet.
  14. Number one topic here. Check some other threads:
  15. You won't be able to book at the pier. Just your Roll Call, located here: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/63-princess-roll-calls/ Perhaps someone has a private tour you can join. Check the France board, here: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/462-france-ports/ Look at some of the recommended tour providers. You might be able to join one in that manner. Good luck. You are a bit late to the process at this point.
  16. There is no resort fee when the booking is entirely on points. HHonors policy.
  17. It just resumed sailing after Covid and being on the refugee contract. It has maybe done 3 cruises now.
  18. We started cruising HAL in 1992, and it was in effect then.
  19. As commonly recommended here, check www.sunny.org. It is a website that lists all the hotels in Ft Lauderdale and their amenities, like parking, shuttles, etc.
  20. Come over to the portion of Cruise Critic devoted to Celebrity, located here: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/16-celebrity-cruises/
  21. I would be looking on TripAdvisor.
  22. That certainly simplifies things...but I don't think I can comfortably recommend a 10:30 flight.
